We enjoyed our stay here, great location and staff were helpful and friendly. Walls are very thin, so bring earplugs if you need.

Unpleasant smell from the common shoes storage area. Visitors using the kitchen stove should be reminded to turn on the range hood, there were visitors cooking heavily in the kitchen in the evening and not turned on the range hood, causing greasy kitchen floors and the smell smoke has gone up to the rooms at all level.

It was rather clean, checking in and out was easy. Extremely tiny, the futon might as well be the worst thing I have ever slept on (by far), the bathroom is really small, you hear everything the neighbors do so if you happen to come across people being super loud until 4am, there is no contact given to you on the noise notice. The washing machine is paid which was just another nasty surprise on top of that.

This is our second time in K's House Takayama Oasis and we still had a great experience. We chose to stay in a private double room this time and were surprised that it was bigger than what we were expecting. It also had a table with a small tatami area for lounging. They also upgraded their washer which was a plus. It's very near the train station and a short walk to the nearby shrine. As with all K's hostels around Japan, the lounge area is welcoming and the kitchen is really nice. The staff are all friendly & helpful. Would definitely come back next time we're in Takayama. Great location close to the bus station and they have a nice common area. K’s house accommodations always make you feel at home, and Takayama is no exception.

Convenience to train station. Great value for price paid. Had everything we needed.

Great location, close to Takayama Station - a 5 minute walk. Also close to other attractions within Takayama such as Old Town and Takayama Jinya.

Great location, 5 min walk from Takayama station. Cozy and clean room. It was early winter in Takayama, but very warm inside our room. Kitchen and dining room are spacious and comfortable.

The location was good, very close to the bus/train station and within walking distance to the all the important attractions The common room was cosy, with table heaters. The kitchen was clean and tidy, with free coffee and tea The dormitory we had (4 beds) was not the biggest. Fortunately was not full while being there, but with full capacity it would have been kinda crammed Making the bed yourself is not uncommon in hostels but always a drag especially when tired after a long day trip, and especially if you are sleeping in a upper bunk bed...

Everything! Room was a great size for 4 people. 2 sets of bunk beds. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Common area was large and warm. Kitchen area was spacious and well equipped. Nothing ?

Great hostel. The location is excellent. We traveled as a family and booked the traditional family room with private bathroom - the room was big and comfortable and the facilities were clean. We had a great time.

The friendly staff, clean facilities. Wish they can refill more tea when they ran out in the morning.

Proximity to the bus/train station. Short walking distance to the morning markets and the historic quarter. Very good and well maintained facilities. Helpful staff. I understand space is a constraint, but an extra bathroom/toilet could be helpful.
