Since our room was not available yet when we arrived, the hotel offered us a different room where we could stay until our actual room was ready. We were charged an additional 50% of the room cost, and they required cash payment only. Unfortunately, this temporary room was in very poor condition — it had a strong mold smell and peeling paint, which made for a disappointing first impression. Overall, it was not a great experience. Then we stayed in the family room with one king bed and two single beds. The room was spacious and comfortable, making it a great choice for our family. The location is excellent and convenient for exploring the area. Keep in mind that you'll need to climb a number of stairs to reach the hotel, so a reasonable level of fitness is helpful. Our room had only a limited view, mostly overlooking some trees, but it was still pleasant. The king bed was comfortable and we slept well. Unfortunately, the two single beds were extremely uncomfortable, as the mattresses were just box springs with no mattress toppers, making them very hard to sleep on. The breakfast was disappointing. The selection was very limited, and the food was not particularly tasty. Considering the price we paid for the room, we expected a much better breakfast. I would recommend saving your money and having breakfast at one of the nearby cafés instead.

Unforgettable experience. I’m so glad we stayed there. It’s like to live in a museum. So many antiques. Fantastic view with a swimming pool. Unique rooms. Nice service. Good breakfast. Clean. I loved it Only all the stairs we had to climb each time ?

There are very expensive rooms in the castle and I think everybody gets the same breakfast. It is simply not OK to pay 800 euro for the breakfast that is offered. But maybe the most expensive rooms have privet breakfast... I hope ...Also the staff is always present but is it sometimes difficult to say if it is staff or not but they are very friendly.

It caught on fire

Very unusual and unique place. Old castle vibes, art everywhere, we had stunning view right on church and Tbilisi.

Everything was perfect, as we expected

None actually. I least the hotel after checking in under 2 hrs. Remote, inaccessible and makeshift hotel rooms Far off parking areas, awfully lit of stairs to climb to reach hotel. Main door locked always and had to buzz in everytime I wanted to enter. Weak Wifi signal across public area. The room (double suite ) was actually a big square meeting room converted to bedroom. Old and not a smart tv, wardrobes are NOT designed for having clothes. Toilets was smart than an aircraft WC area. Makeshift shower cubicle. With no privacy. Room was very eerieeee as well.

Staff was amazing and friendly Food was delicious and the whole space is very clean I would reccomend checking out the upstairs garden view at night you can see the whole city and castle itself ( I will attach some pictures) If you have a mobility issue don't go there, the hotel is made within an old castle so it's impossible to have an elevator before you reach it you have to climb some stairs (2 3 minutes walk) if you are semi healthy like me it's not a problem but if you are struggling with mobility this is not for you
-
It maybe hard to find if you do not use the hotel transfer service and there are lots of steps which wasn't a problem for us but would be unsuitable if you have mobility issues,

Nothing Too many stairs to climb, staff was not cooperative, they charged us another 250 to give us another room because the room we booked was not given to us and after reaching they said we have to pay extra. After paying so much it was not worth. Breakfast was not good and was same all 3 days we were there. On asking for water they said it’s chargeable. Room was not cleaned properly during our stay.

I’m obsessed with this hotel. I treated myself to their presidential suite and it did not disappoint. The room was glorious and the views unmatched. Perfect location too. You’re next to all of the great stops in Old Town without because in the thick of it. The staff is incredibly accommodating, and it was wonderful to have them as points of contact throughout my stay. It’s a castle on a hill so prepare for lots of stairs! Big thanks to the staff who carried my luggage up and down.

It was a bit difficult to find initially, but a hotel worker found us wandering. And once you know where it is, it is easy to find!

Nice location, boutique, few people in the pool, friendly staff The room we were in was on the ground floor, staff and guests were constantly passing by our windows

The swimming pool. To be honest this place was disappointing and offered bad value for money. Where should I start? * The wi-fi connection was very poor and I ended up having to use my own data most of the time. I complained, but was inadvertently told it is "the weather". * The picture shows washing machine, but there is none. Also no dry rack for clothes. * Also: No stovetop, no oven and no TV, as was listed. * Aircon was very poor. Had some sweaty and uncomfortable nights. * Little privacy, unless you keep the door and curtain closed (no windows). Right on the street, where tourists walk past all the time. * Place is stuffy, with little natural air and feels like you are living in a cave. Very dark. * Breakfast was average. . Much better accommodation to be had in Tbilisi!

Super atmospheric Hotel with a stunning view, TOP location, and most importantly friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are clean and the interior is very authentic. Our room had a balcony/entrance hall where you can sit and enjoy the view and a glass of wine- perfect for late evening chill. There is an amazing rooftop pool open 24/. Overall - 10/10 and my sincere recommendation. There is no private parking and if you come by car then you need to park on the street. To get to the hotel, you also need to come up the stairs, which can become quite a fitness if you have a heavy luggage. BUT if you let staff know what time you arrive they’ll help you take the luggage up the stairs (and couldn’t be happier they did so)

An absolutely gorgeous historical location, castle vibe and the room is truly spectacular. Big, elegantly decorated, with its own vibe! The staff was great and very helpful. Location was good in terms of proximity to everything, but difficult when one has a car. - no parking and tough to park the car anywhere in the vicinity + lots of hills, narrow roads, very tricky to drive - there were two days in a row when the room wasn’t cleaned at all, was a bit odd and we had to speak with the hotel manager to get that fixed - breakfast was mediocre. The same during the entire week, very limited choice of food at the same time, and it was difficult to understand when to come. There has always been something missing or not ready yet (either at 8 AM when it started or 10:30 when it was way into the duration of breakfast) - the room was the best and most expensive they had at the premises yet it was very loud in the morning, when they started to prepare breakfast apparently. The doors in the room (which we were not able to open) are adjacent to the kitchen or something and they are close to the bed, so the luxury experience I expected was a bit tinted to be honest.

Soooo cool… staying in a castle! What else do you need! Fully and beautifully renovated.. beautiful artworks at every turn… delicious breakfast… helpful staff… gorgeous rooms… amazing views from the many different terraces… a very nice pool and pool house (of course with another fabulous view). So many nooks and castle crannies to explore There are a lot of steps in old town Tbilisi Georgia. There are a lot of steps in this castle. BUT… the staff assist with luggage from your vehicle to your room. It is worth the extra stairs.

Gorgeous castle from 10th century… enjoyed the stay. Close to everything on a walking distance. Breakfast was delicious, staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you

Interesting building, good location for us. This hotel is a scam, they charged us twice for the stay, as well as adding on additional fees that we don't recognise. No response from the property, booking.com customer service completely useless. DO NOT STAY HERE. IT'S A SCAM. I now have to request a chargeback through my bank as a final hope. Thank god I didn't pay cash as they requested. Breakfast was inedible for the most part. The floor of the room is covered in fine dust, hasn't been cleaned properly in a very long time. Service in general is poor, upon arrival they left me standing out in the rain for 20 minutes at 7am while I waited to collect keys for the room. Supposed to include a free airport transfer, they ended up charging 60 lari (3x the normal rate from the airport) and then I had to share the car with two other guests. Service was mostly poor, the majority of the staff were very disinterested and lazy throughout, and there seemed to be little organisation. I've never left a bad review before but this was the worst hotel I've ever experienced, a complete disaster. Furthermore, the price that they charge for this 'experience' is quite high in comparison to others in the area. Do yourself a big favour and choose a different hotel in Tbilisi, which is an amazing city.
