Comfortable room and beds. Friendly staff. Everything worked well, and when we left a few items in the hotel, they were very quick to reply that they would hold them for us. We really liked staying there and look forward to staying again! Our room wasn't ready when we arrived. The staff sincerely apologized, but next time I recommend offering a complimentary drink or appetizer when guests have to wait.

Location is where this hotel truly shines. You are right in the heart of Ameyoko, one of Tokyo's most vibrant shopping and dining streets, with Ueno Station just a few steps away — perfect if you plan to shop and eat your way through the area. The room, while small, was cleverly designed with under-bed storage that made managing our luggage much easier. The hotel also offered a late check-out extension for a modest fee, which we found very convenient. We were proactively warned about elevator congestion between 7 and 9 in the morning, so we adjusted our schedule and had no issues at all. A small but thoughtful touch. We skipped breakfast since we were already surrounded by fantastic food options right outside the door. The room is tight — even by Tokyo standards. Traveling as two adults and a child, it felt cramped and at times borderline claustrophobic. If you need breathing room, you will feel it here.

Proximity to the JR Station The room we got for this trip seemed to be smaller than the first one we got during our trip 2years ago.

The elevator wait times can be quite long. Since there are only two elevators, they often fill up from the top floors before reaching the middle levels. Implementing a High-Zone and Low-Zone operation would significantly improve efficiency and convenience for guests

Near Ueno station and can be reached without going up or down the stairs, good if carrying big luggage. There is a nearby Family Mart. There is also a nearby stair leading to the subway (Ginza line) without needing to go inside JR Ueno. There was nothing that I did not like

Convenient location in Ueno. You can step right out into a bustling market area. It is very tight, with limited places to relax if needed. Lobby was tiny and full of guest luggage being held for the day.
