We stayed here for two nights before we returned to Canada. The room was comfortable but a little tight for space. The bathroom was really small and the toilet seat was not very big and very close to the wall. The pictures on Booking.com seemed to make the bathroom look much bigger than it was. Liked the high water pressure (all the shower heads in Japan offered very powerful water sprays!). Beds were comfortable and room was clean, but it was not very roomy. At least you could slide your suitcases under the beds, which freed up room on the floor. Staff was very kind and friendly, and they spoke English decently. Appreciated the washer and dryer accessibility, and the availability to hold your luggage until you checked in. The hotel location is right on a main highway. Some reviews said it was noisy, but we were not bothered by the traffic, and it did not seem that noisy to us. The hallways are partially outside, so it has a motel feel to it. Close proximity to convenient stores, restaurants, shops and within a 10 minute walk to a train station where you could easily get to the Tokyo or Narita stations. Zoo and museum were close; only a 15 minute walk away. Tiny bathroom. Would have preferred a little more space in the room and bathroom, but it was manageable and did not detract too much from our stay.

Location was great, just a few steps from Ueno station and Ueno restaurants area. I appreciated that they kept our luggages until the check-in time, which was 3PM. It was also a nice touch to offer tea and coffee in the lobby. Staff was welcoming and kind. I will be honest, the room is tiny but it has everything you need. Special note: be mindful that it is nearly impossible to have 2 big luggages open on the floor at the same time. This was NOT a problem for us but it might be for other travellers. The thing I liked the least was the bed AND pillows, which were really hard in my opinion.

Property was close to Ueno station. Rooms were shoebox size. Too claustrophobic. Not good for families, best for backpackers and solo travelers.
-
Location & convenience It was small, there were a lack of amenities and it could have been cleaner (mold in the shower).

The location is perfect, it is near a lot of markets and it is always crowded with a lot of people, great food, different food on every corner

2. The staff provided great service and took very good care of us. 3. It offers great value for money. 1. The air conditioner had a musty smell and didn't cool the room very well. 2. The hotel's washing machines and dryers were very dirty.

Clean None

it was clean, well maintained, and optimal location. i was worried about it being directly beside the highway and we were on the third floor but i barely heard a thing!! basically nothing

Close to the Ueno attractions and train station We stayed at the triple room which is on the street side which is quite busy and loud. There are two levels of road passing Infront of the hotel. Windows are not isolated and no sound proof. All cars passing from the roads are like passing next to your bed.

Close to stations like JR Ueno, JR Okachimachi, Keisei Ueno, and also metro complex of Ueno-Okachimachi, Ueno-Kirokoji, and Naka-Okachimachi. Close to markets and abundant of restaurants around at Ameyoko (アメ横) Market Nakadoori (上中) Market Two Family Mart around the hotel, at the end of each side of the block. The room is clean and tidy. Luggage storage available under the bed. Bathtub available Toiletries available at ground floor, in front the front desk, such as toothbrushes, hair brush, bath salt. Coffee and tea are free to take as well. Other toiletries are provided in the room, such as towel, hand towel, hair dryer, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Amenities provided, such as a TV, kettle, and mini fridge (only chilling, no freezing) Staff are helpful and fluent in Chinese and English (expect some accent). Other facilities such as coin laundry (2x washers and 2x dryers) are available on the ground floor. Room and toilet are relatively small and short, and the walkway in the room is rather narrow, not very convenient to pack or unpack your luggage. Window is frosted and permanently locked in standard room, can't really tell whether it's day or night. Rooms are cleaned every 3 days, eg checked in on 1st, room cleaning on 4th, 7th, and so on. (Towels can be requested at front desk, and trashes can be left outside of room regardless of room cleaning days)

The rooms are a bit small. The fridge is super small. Room cleaning every fourth day.
-
The room is clean and quiet. Spacious for a 3 person room. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They have 2 coin laundry machines which is convenient. The location is super convenient and close to JR, metro and the center of Ameyoko market. Awesome stay! Nothing.

I don't like that there's only 1 elevator so the waiting time is a bit long compared to other hotels but other than that the rest is okay.

Our room was too noisy. Oops!! I couldn’t sleep

Location Location Small rooms Lacking in amenities

Our go-to hotel in the Ueno area. Also, it was nice to see Momoko-san on duty when I checked-in. Hope to see her and the rest of the superb staff on my next visit. Nothing

Location is great. Few minutes walk to Ueno station. Convenient for taking the Keisei skyliner from Narita. Room is very small but it’s normal for a Tokyo hotel. Suitcases have to be stored under the bed so you can navigate the space better.

Near Main train station , the restaurant near the hotel opens till late night. Very small for 3 pax room.
