Dormy Inn Ueno Okachimachi Hot Spring

Loved the location near Ueno station (very easy to get to Narita). Small onsen, but enjoyable with an outside bath and views of Tokyo Skytree. I also appreciated the complementary late night ramen :) -

i never get breakfast, the location would be good except for the announcement only as we are checking in that there is major noisy construction outside our window, But the noise was quiet from 3:30 pm until 8am so we survived okay. onsen facilities too small for the number of people staying there, They have a whole dining area which they closed off except for breakfast, they could have accomodated early arrivals by letting people sit or work at the empty tables. the rooms are small as usual in Tokyo, ok for one or two day business people but for a couple traveling for weeks, very constricting and difficult. One elevator for 11 floors of hotel making for a lot of waiting. Not worth the elevated price because the onsen too small

Great location. Loved the onsen. Small room, but we expected that. Only one elevator, so it can be slow going up to the onsen and down to the entrance.

Very small bed in room for two people.

The location was great. Very close to 2 major train stations with hundreds of places to eat right outside. Was a little expensive.

The public bath is the flagship product of this hotel. If you're into that it is absolutely great. I never used the bath/shower in the room, always went to the 12th floor, sometimes three times in a day due to the heat and humidity. The coin laundry in the changing area is also a great convenience. The single elevator can get crowded at times but that is a function of the hotel having a small footprint and being a smaller property so I get that. Otherwise, the service, staff and facility is top-notch.

Location was amazing and room was spacious

The property was conveniently location close to a variety of stations which made travel throughout Tokyo very easy! There was only 1 elevator, making going up and down very timely.

Location is great There was only one lift and the wait time was long

Onsen facilities were great; location of hotel was great; Free midnight ramen noodles after 9:30 pm was great; Free treats after spa in manga relaxation room was great; Everything was well thought out! Small rooms and single elevator, but was never much of an issue.

Only one elevator was an issue in the morning.

Clean, no fuss rooms in a convenient location with great amenities for the price. I appreciated the laundry services especially. I also bought a breakfast ticket for one day of my stay and it was delicious. The hotel is essentially right in Ueno Ameyoko and steps away from both local trains and shinkansen. I also made several trips to Ueno Park from here, so it’s great for hanami season.

Location was excellent for walking to Ueno Park with many museums. Great shopping and street food in Ameyoko Market street. Room was facing the highway outside and could hear traffic noise at night.

I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast especially the braised pork belly dish with green veggies, the one day they had clam chowder, the fresh fruit and the chicken karaage. Never had better tasting orange slices! I’m from California. A news channel in English would have been ideal.

The community bath was really nice. Nothing.
