Location was close to the Harbor which had a nice park to explore. Washer and dryer was outside the building.

First off, i was misled to believe, when booking online, that i would get a room accomodating two adults. Indeed on Booking.com i infixated i was booking for 2 adults and was given a room for two adults, and the pictures displayed at this stage would lead any lay person to believe that the room and bed could accomodate two adults. When we checked in however ( it was me and my daughter), wexwere asked to pay immediately the room , i had not realised it was a not a prepayment. The front desk woman was quiet agitated and after we payed she gave us keys to room 517. We went up, first of all the entire hotel hzs an uggly carpet and a horrible smell of cold tobacco. Roop 517 could honestly have been a prison cell: narrow, a single bed tucked to the wall, hardly any space on the other side before one would bump off the wall, a tv tucked to the feet of the bed. We were in choc. We went down and tried to explain this was not a room for two aduots. She insisted that it was and that many guests were using this room for two adults. She said we had paid for our two nights and this is what i had booked. I noticed that the email cobfirming the booking was different from the email confirming payment in that the latter was saying «  casual single room » while the booking was saying «  standard double for two adults ». But she would not here it. With the fatigue and nausea from this horrible hotel and tobacco smell all around us, we had to find a way to sleep. She said we could get a double room but had to pay $150 or so more. We had very little choice and paid just to be able to sleep. We felt stranded and defrauded. The double room had a larger bed thankfully but the pungeant tobacco smell was here, the noise from the street was unbearable and the bed itself had metallic springs and was extremly uncomfortable. The linens were smelly. To top things off the front desk asked me to «  please not post any pictures of the room on Booking.com »

The location was excellent. The hotel was within walking distance of Akihabara, Tokyo’s legendary tech and subculture district, making it very easy to explore the area. We especially enjoyed the Sunday Pedestrian Paradise, when Chuo-dori is closed to traffic and becomes a lively space for walking and sightseeing. There were also many local restaurants and cafés nearby, offering plenty of dining options without needing public transportation. Another highlight was the proximity to Kanda Myojin Shrine. This beautiful historic shrine provided a peaceful contrast to the energy of Akihabara and was one of our favorite places to visit during our stay. The hotel served as a very convenient base for exploring eastern Tokyo. Major attractions, restaurants, shops, and public transportation were all easily accessible on foot. The surrounding neighborhood felt safe, vibrant, and authentic, allowing us to experience both modern Tokyo culture and traditional Japanese heritage within a short walking distance. A special thank you to Booking.com for providing a complimentary airport transfer as part of our reservation. The driver was punctual, professional, and courteous, making our arrival from Narita Airport smooth and stress-free. This service added significant value to our stay and was greatly appreciated. The room was quite small and definitely not suitable for three guests. There was very limited space for luggage, and there were no practical storage areas or closets for hanging clothes. The bathroom and toilet area were also very cramped, making daily use somewhat uncomfortable. Another drawback was the lack of sound insulation. Street and city noise could be heard from the room, which occasionally affected our ability to relax and sleep. We were also surprised to learn upon arrival that our room was located in the hotel's annex building. This was not sufficiently clear during the booking process and created expectations that did not match the actual accommodation provided. The photos on the Booking.com listing were somewhat misleading and presented a more favorable impression than the room we actually received. More representative and up-to-date photographs, especially of the annex rooms and their actual size, would help guests make better-informed booking decisions. Improved soundproofing, additional storage space, and clearer communication regarding room location (main building versus annex) would significantly enhance the overall guest experience.

It was in a convenient location. As our last stop, it was really close to the station with the train to Narita and also to Ueno park which was great. The immediate surroundings were a little seedy though. The room was shockingly dirty. There were stains on the ground and the bathroom smelled, we had to get room service to clean the bathroom multiple times before the smell abated. There was also irregular buzzing from the HVAC that would go off in the night and wake us up.

A great location in the centre of Ueno with easy access the transportation and restaurants. The room was small but bigger enough for our family of three. The bathroom was actually a little bigger than in other hotels. Also, the windows in room can be opened which is nice to do when wanting some outside air. The windows also do a great job of blocking excess noise from the street below. A little expensive and doesn’t offer breakfast. Also, the streets are a little less ‘family friendly’ at night.

Location was amazing! Close to everything. Size of the room for two is too small for us. We are fairly short and small but struggled with the size of the room to do basic activity. For the record, we have been in Japan many times in the past.

None This is dirty ugly place with blood and vomit on the carpet in the room. Very noisy and unsafe. Any one from the street can enter the hotel and use the elevator without card keys.
