The location is very good, inside one of the most busiest districts in Tokyo, and yet we were not able to hear the noise from outside (besides a few ambulance cars), we were on the 13th floor so maybe this contributed to the silence. The room is clean and neat, in spite of being very small. The toilet area was clean as well. We received breakfast vouchers from the cafe next door, although the options are very limited, if you can avoid it, I recommend you have breakfast at another place. The room is too small but it can't be helped in a city such as Tokyo, you get what you pay for. The staff was dutiful and smiley but not very eager to take requests from the guests. There is a policy to get 1 bottle of water (500ml) per guest per day. We only got 2 in the first day (as we were 2 people) and once I checked out on the 4th day (3 nights), I was denied another bottle. My wife went to tell that we received only 2 during 3 days, and had to insist firmly. It was a bit embarrasing to have to come to the extent of denying/asking for a single bottle of water.

The hand soap in my bathroom was one of the nicest I’ve ever smelled! Room was fine overall despite being very small. Staff were friendly and it was clean for the most part. The daily rate seemed very inflated based on the location and the hotel itself.

Location Very small rooms

La limpieza no es la mejor y las almohadas muy incómodas.

Literally beside of the subway station that connects everywhere in Tokyo also distance walking from Shinjuku spots like the big cat on the screen. Having the subway just on the side of the building made life very easy!! 7eleven and Lawson both on the corner, food around everywhere. Couldn’t hear too much noise coming from outside just an ambulance siren sometimes but nothing that would disturb me or my wife. Staff very friendly, attentive and helpful with the questions we had. Rooms aren’t so big but for a 3 /4 night’s staying will definitely do it Very little bathrooms

How close it was to the subway. Literally next door which made coming back on an evening so easy! Rooms were fairly small.

Overall, our stay at E Hotel Higashi Shinjuku was okay. The location is convenient, and the room was clean and comfortable. While the room was small, we understand that this is typical for many hotels in Tokyo. One area that could be improved is the consistency of customer service. We noticed that the Japanese staff members were always friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. They greeted guests with smiles and were very helpful whenever we had questions or requests. However, our experience with some of the foreign staff members was noticeably different. When we requested fresh towels, they seemed uninterested and somewhat irritated, which made us feel less comfortable approaching them for assistance. While they were not rude, the difference in service compared to the Japanese staff was quite noticeable. We would also like to mention that the soundproofing could be improved. The walls seem quite thin, as we could often hear conversations and noises from neighboring rooms. We were also frequently disturbed by the loud sound of doors being shut in nearby rooms, especially late at night and early in the morning.

Good location right next to a subway station The room was far too small for two people

Very small rooms

We were on the 4th floor and the noise from the intersection was loud. I'd request a high floor or a room that doesn't face the intersection

Amazing location (10 steps to subway entrance), good price Everything else is on par or subpar to price range, super small even for japan standards, some rubish left from previous guests behind curtain, lingering smell in bathroom during whole stay

Hotel was centrally located and the staff was great. Room was smaller than expected and the bed was not very comfortable.
