The Staff there are great! Likeable, kind. We had just come from an Arima onsen hotel, and were spoiled by the spaciousness there. Despite having a small room for 3 people, we ended up enjoying some good sleep on our double futons, and having a safe, "home base" to return to each day. Good water pressure in the shower stall, hot water came out easily. Convenient stores are not too far away, at all - easy to get snacks or a quick breakfast there. TV was on floor (hard for all of us to view at the same time), beside fridge. Fridge kept freezing the items we placed inside, even though we asked staff to look into the fridge. Most of the other people staying there were non-Japanese. Lots of English being used, which will suit many out there, but I was back in Japan to further my Japanese. I wished it felt more Japanese to be there. If I had started our trip to Japan, I think that would have been a better fit for this place.

Breakfast is very tasty.

Great location, friendly staff. We like the traditional jspanese room. Definitely come again
-
Close proximity to the train station, very kind employees, and affordable Futon might need an upgrade because it’s so stiff

Nice area. Big room. Everything very clean. All was good

The breakfast is excellent. Highly recommended. The location is easy to reach. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. They speak perfect English. I personally need a thicker futon. But you can double up. They are glad to provide for you.

This was our second time here and it was an amazing stay once again. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful and the breakfast delicious. The neighborhood is quiet and residential, with a subway stop less than 10 minutes away on foot. I'm sure we'll be back. Nothing. The place is perfect for us.

I booked a non-western room to experience the tatami mat experience. More space for luggages, but bedding wasn't really for me. Location was excellent, close to multiple train lines. Staff is above, and beyond-they made the stay excellent My only knock was the futon bedding. it's acutally my bad, since I booked this room for specifically this reason (to experience this). My back and creaky knees thought other wise. I'll book a western style room next time.

Wonderful and friendly staff

While a little more hotel/hostel style ryokan, it was very nice and comfortable. Gave our niece the traditional Japanese experience we were looking for. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and the amenities were lovely. If I had to say anything the mattresses were maybe a little thin (thinner than we have had before), but they did mention we could get something else if wanted.

The staff and hotel are awesome! The western bed room space is too small.
-
Needed two mattresses as a side sleeper so I could sleep well.

I love the first floor feature of the gardens. Location

Lovely staff; good breakfast; historic atmosphere

Our room smelled funky like cheese/feet.

The friendly and very helpful staff. I wish the toilet was better.

It was a cute place but most importantly were the staff. Aisleen took good care of us and making sure our stay was comfortable. Other staff were nice too. The Japanese breakfast was not good. The fish is very salty.

There was a breakfast in the morning, unusual for ryokans and smaller hotels in Japan. All was good.

The hotel is in a quiet location, not far from the metro (a 10-minute walk). There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby to eat and drink, and a supermarket is located about 500 meters from the hotel. Breakfast is excellent at a reasonable price. The Japanese sauna features an onsen-style bath, and there is a small bathing area available for an additional charge (not expensive, but I don't see the point in it) for 5 euros for 40 minutes. It's simply a bathtub, without any modifications, where you can sit together in a lukewarm (let's say comfortably warm) bath... I don't find much value in that. By the way, there are public baths in the area!
