Location, location, location… and the room was practically perfect, too. The bed was comfy, the AC worked well, and I definitely soaked in the deep tub at the end of each day before donning my yukata and melting into a restful sleep. Nothing.

It’s so nice in terms of price, proximity to Senso-ji Temple, cleanliness, staff/owner was very communicative and nice Its just quite a walk to the subway and railway especially if you have big luggages.

Walkable distance to trains and major attractions. The staff members are excellent. My flight was delayed by 6 hours and missed the normal check-in time. The hotel worker kept communication with me and waited for me until midnight.

The Asakusa Ryokan is in a good location, close to shops, markets and Senso-ji temple. The staff were helpful & everything we needed was supplied.

My towels weren't very good at drying and there isn't a lamp in the room (at least that I saw).

We stayed in the second floor and it so happened that when opening the windows a cigar smell would enter the room. Also, I could get de air conditioner to work so I had to keep de windows opened all night because the room got too hot.

Absolutely perfect for a solo travel stay. Clean room, very comfortable futon bed, great AC unit, and your own toilet and Japanese deep tub to relax in. Comes with yukata and you can request new towels daily. Kind and helpful staff. And this lovely ryokan is so well-located! Walking distance to the best areas of Asakusa. You can come and go as you wish as it is 24HR access. I felt very safe as a female solo traveler. Excellent value. If you're looking for a clean, no-frills place that meets all basic needs, look no further. A couple of months before my trip, I was able to communicate via Booking chat to arrange an additional night stay (paid upon check in), for a total of 4 nights. Would 100% stay again in a heartbeat! Just an advisory, but was not an issue for me - occasionally there was a faint tobacco smoke odor in the hallway that would come in from outside. I just slid my bedroom door closed as an extra barrier, no issues at all! There is a fridge, but it is shared between all guests. Guests were respectful of others' items while I was there. :)

Great location. Quiet. Super friendly staff. They can storage your luggage. Could be a bit more clean.

Stayed for 3 days. Location has a lot of izakayas and restaurants at walking distance. Owner was very kind and patient in explaining house rules and provided new towels each day.

Had a single room, very fair price, everything a single traveler needed. Nothing to complain about at all.
