Hampton Inn & Suites Toledo/Westgate

The room was wonderful and clean and nice and big. The bathroom was amazing with the big nice mirror the breakfast there was amazing. The staff was super friendly and my check-in was easy.

We had a terrible experience with the front desk staff and apparently "manager" of housekeeping. We were told multiple noise complaints were received about our children. Being that we woke up, went to breakfast, and returned to our room, we were shocked to hear this. When we asked about it at the front desk, we were told that it was one complaint, not multiple as the maid had said. When we were loading up our car, we got to talking with another guest about this unfortunate and confusing encounter. At the end of our conversation, he admitted that he had made the noise complaint because he doesn't like seeing large families of our "race" and apologized. We accepted his apology, but upon reflecting on our treatment by both the man at the front desk and the maid that came to our door and told my 10 year old son that he was being "entirely too loud", all based on apparent r*cism, we are truly disgusted. We requested a call from the manager, but of course, were never contacted. I truly hope the staff undergoes training based on this heinous event.

Room was a bit noisy next to the elevator.

Breakfast was poor quality and the food was not very good. Overall the hotel was not very good.

Was very impressed with the quality and cleanliness of the room and the hotel. Breakfast was very good. Very good night sleep in the bed. Had toiletries on the wall in bathroom and the shower. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was in a good location and appeared clean . Our room was comfortable and quiet. Our concern was with their pet policy and unfair charges around this. Their pet policy. I will not stay here again because of it. I have a Emotional Support dog who is certified and trained to assist me. I offered my dogs certification papers when I arrived at check in and the employee who Checked us in never said their was a $50 charge for a service animal. I had notified the premise when I made the reservation that I had a service dog and was never told about a $50 fee. This is most likely against the law.

Easy access from the highway. Several places to go out to eat. The place was clean, well-kept and breakfast was delicious! We have been to this Hampton 3 times. Always good and reliable.

Location was convenient to family event that we came in for. Very nice area surrounding the hotel. Lots of choices for food. Only real issue was the luggage carts(3). Were never being brought back so others could use them. Maybe put a tag(phone) on them so they can be located and returned so others may benefit. Otherwise , great place. Great staff.
