Best Western Central Hotel

I ended up in Tours in the heatwave and Best Western saved me from the heat. Stuff is extremely helpful. Breakfast is a bit pricey but is very good. When the AC in my room stopped working they immediately offered me another room which as a significant upgrade. Also I must say it is very quiet. Even during street music festival it was absolutely fine.

Appreciated the on-site parking, even though it was not free.

Nicely appointed room. The contents of the sachets of coffee were solid. The coffee should be loose inside not hard !

Friendly staff and clean throughout. It’s very centrally located close to many eclectic shops and restaurants.

The front desk staff was helpful. The first night I noticed there was thin blood stain size of thumb in duvet cover. The hotel replaced the duvet cover quickly. And the water in bathtub is draining very very slowly.

The receptionist was incredibly kind and the location was great. Parking was really convenient to have after a long day out. The standup shower had a strong odd smell

The location is perfect for seeing the essential sites in Tours. It has a parking lot in front of the hotel that was a very useful. We parked the car and left it and walked to all the sites in the town. The breakfast was good, even including a machine to make your own fresh orange juice. The hotel is getting a little old.

Location to stores First night they assigned us a small room 421 (roof top converted room) with rolling barn door for shower and noisy squitted accordeon door for toilet. To avoid noises at night, we opened these doors but it smelled bad sew at night due to the system aeration shutdown or one of us used the toilet with woking up spouse. We asked to change it for the second and third nights to different rooms. We visited different chateaux and very tired for the second night; we didn't hear anything. For the last night, we turned off the TV and went to bed early for early departure, but at 1:30 AM we heared the TV sound and thought that was the room tv. I went down to the desk guy asking for help. It turned out that the neighbord room had their tv so loud..... Not good resting.

The staff was very accommodating on every request and did their best to complete them. It was nice to have a cheaper choice for the “express” breakfast and was plenty for us. The location was great, walking distance to the town center but very quiet. The lift/elevator was very old and quirky and was easy to jam if you open the door too early. The building was beautiful and older, which was charming with very high ceilings. The beds were a little stiff for my taste, but others may prefer it.

Room was about as far away from everything else in the hotel as possible, on the fourth floor and the place was nearly empty. Probably because i reserved thru a third party vendor.

Great central location. The staff are outstanding. Tired decor- no bar- our dog not welcome at breakfast. Most importantly- terrible mattress!

Lovely room with all amenities and comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast. This is the second time we have stayed at the hotel and we were not disappointed. We will certainly book again in the future.

City centre, with parking, and a well-designed family room. Breakfast was good. There was a strong smell of smoke in our room when we arrived, and we found a cup full of cigarette butts in the room. The smell of cigarette smoke remained in the corridor, lift and stair areas. One member of staff was very helpful, another only gave us a gallic shrug. Rather expensive.

The hotel was in an excellent location for everything. It was good to have parking right outside. We could walk everywhere easily. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was a good size and well equipped good to have a kettle and fridge. The reviews that we read suggesting the hotel needed updating were wrong. There was obvious evidence that work had been done to make the rooms better, plenty of sockets and availability to charge up phones etc. The 1st night was quite noisy, another guest had the tv on from 10pm to midnight very loud, not the hotels fault but made it made it difficult to sleep, the rest of the stay was very quiet. We had a drink in the bar which we thought would be nice but the bar area didn't have very comfortable seats, I think in the warmer weather the courtyard will be nice to have a drink in. Signs of the hotel needing updating were that the towels and sheets were little frayed round the edges. But everything was clean.

Breakfast lots of choice. Nice to have tea and coffee in room. Close to centre. Room very small resembles a prison cell. Carpet very old and dirty!
