Grand Hotel de Tours

We were at breakfast late (Sunday at 10) and a lot of the offering were gone despite having an hour left.

Location fabulous, breakfast awesome, room luvurious, convenience to restaurants excellent. Next timeI am in Tours this is where I will stay.

The parking situation did not work for us

Convenient and clean

very tired hotel from lobby to hallways to the guest rooms to the bar and restaurant. old accommodation in need of major renovation to modernize the hotel. Also, poor access by car.

Large room. Good breakfast. Very nice bathroom. Dingy reception area, a once beautiful place in decline, scuffed carpet and chipped dirty tile in reception area, do not consider this hotel if you are driving and need parking, impossible to drive/get to unload baggage at the entrance, good if you arrive by train or bus. Young lady was abrupt when we checked in ( she may want to reconsider a hospitality career) evening staff much better. Overall, Grand Hotel has great potential to be what it once was, needs a professional hotel management company.

The location of this Hotel is absolutely wonderful!. It is within feet of the train station. The staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. Everything is within easy walking distance. The rooms were quite nice. The shower stall was really tiny. I'm a tall and not overly large person, but when I would bend over to scrub my legs, my butt would turn off the shower, LOL!

Excellent breakfast, good sized and serviced room. The directions of getting to the car park and from the car park to the hotel entrance could be improved. It's very close by, Also clarity around the ticket procedure at the car park. The hotel issue a second ticket for your exit at a discounted price.

Perfect location across from train station and parking garage. We arrived by train and rented a car in Tours as a base to explore explore chateaux. I made a mistake booking two non refundable rooms and the staff very graciously cancelled one no charge! Great breakfast in large rooms overlooking street and park. Old fashioned charm, bought a nice bottle of wine from the bar. Nothing, totally enjoyable stay, walkable to all attractions and adjacent to tram stop for easy interesting ride to car rental, got to see more of the city.

Location to train and rest of town

Good location near restaurants. King size bed was a plus.

The breakfast was good, the room was a little small, as we booked for 3 people and had 2 single beds in one room and a single in another. The door wouldn't open properly because the bed was in the way, ok once we moved the bed a little. Big bathroom, an older hotel in Tours. Great location, you can see the train station and an easy walk to the train and not far from shops and restaurants

Very smart traditional hotel, excellent location near the train station. Helpful and friendly staff.

I missed a minibar/refrigerator in the room. In the hot weather it was necessary I didn’t take breakfast as the breakfast room came across as disorganised. Maybe because it was very full at 8.30

Large, comfortable rooms for families. Amazing breakfast for the price. Great location for access to rail and tour office.

Very beautiful classic hotel with clean, nicely decorated & spacious rooms. Very nice bathtub and bathroom. The front desk staff is very helpful & professional. Location right across street from Tours train station. Many restaurants nearby. Access l to the hotel by car is a bit confusing & challenging. The address given for hotel is a street which is blocked at one end.

Great location. Large suite. Good breakfast. I will return with friends. All was good. Needs usb ports for charging.

Very charming interior, staff was nice and the location was very ideal. We arrived at 3:30 pm and the staff at check in told us that the room wasnt ready, while checking in was possible from 3 pm. Luckily there was a room available. The room was very noisy, we could hear people walking in the halls and we could hear footsteps from the floor above us. In the morning we got breakfast in the room which was scheduled at 9am, but the coffee was cold and the eggs were cold too, though it was known what time we wanted breakfast.

Excelent location in the middle of the city. The hotel looks luxurious classic and well upkeep. I love it. Breakfast is good. Public underground car park is next to the hotel. Though the room is big; but our super king size bed is too big for the room.
