Holiday Inn Tulum by IHG

This property was everything, from time of arrival until the day I left location was great to different shops stores food and bars. Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable. I wanted to know where the top beaches were located they gave me 3 and I was able to go to 2 and absolutely beautiful! They provided me with restaurants that were in the area and they all were awesome ! This property roof top Was like the icing on the cake absolutely amazing! And the bartender was so cool and smooth . Everyone who worked at the property from the front desk to the maintenance to the bartender to housekeeping was so sweet! Oh yes it was my anniversary and they had rose petals and swans for him and I the decoration was amazing listen book book book book ! 5 stars Plumping but wasn't their fault . It's called life !

The parking garage was a big problem for us.

Price There is no place to park the car. If you have a scooter or something tiny, you can park in their underground parking lot. There are a lot of scratches on the walls from where other vehicles attempted to turn. Also, if you car could make the turn, there is a closed gate and nobody there to let you in. When we called the hotel to get help to park, they hung up on us multiple times. When we eventually had the opportunity to reach reception, they told us to just park anywhere around the block. When we went to go to the reception, they took about a hundreds to get one couple though. We wasted a lot of time trying to sort things out. Just pay an extra hundred bucks and save yourself the hastle and disappointment. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

The lady at the reception was very nice. She gave me very good recommendations about places I could visit.

Kind front desk agents

1st Room was not furnished with a closet , a refrigerator nor a microwave. I had to be removed to another room which had a closet and then they brought over a refrigerator. Was not furnished with a microwave.

A great bed, which is most important, in my view. All staff were very pleasant and helpful. The main pool was nice; I later experienced the rooftop pool which was fabulous. The restaurant prices were unreasonable, compared to local restaurant prices, so I didn't eat there although I would have if they had moderated them. Same for rooftop pool- drinks double the price of elsewhere i.e. MXP 220 for a margarita vs 110 at restos in the neighborhood. MXP330 for a hamburger is just ridiculous. They could make it a happening spot and do well financially if they approached this area with a bit more savvy.

Spaces in room and property Only 1 option in breakfast and dinner and have limit of 450 mxn per person which is very bad. If you eat more than 450 then need to pay extra charge. It is also not mentioned while booking only get to know when reached there

Amazingly comfortable-I booked mid week and got a great price—wished I’d booked extended stay yet price almost doubled by the time I returned from overnight in Cozumel. Don’t delay-if you see a good price snag it right away—this Holiday-Inn is 5star resort can not be compared to Stated H.I.’s. Absolutely fantastic! Great stay, great location, internet and amazingly comfortable bed!

Room was clean with hot shower

Great value, great location close to fun spots in town, cenotes, and the beach (tho a car or scooter was necessary). Staff was lovely! All very friendly, but we encountered Sam the most who was super kind. Didn’t have white wine at the rooftop bar but no big deal

The receptionist, the barman at the rooftop, the waitress at rte restaurant, every perosj that we spoke to was simply great. Amazing hospitality, we felt right at home. The rooms and facilities are exactly like in the pictures, there is free indoor parkıng, so your car is safe, and it's within walking distance from the bars and restaurants in tulum village (not the Tulum playa). There are 2 swimming pools, one at the ground floor and one on the rooftop Great stay! All was Great

Super expensive for what you get I wouldn’t go back again

Breakfast was good (a little bit pricey). The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The cocktails are awesome. The roof top pool deck is awesome. This hotel seems not finished, there were stains in the walls like some plaster. There were some doors that had un polished parts like they were just put in. The pool on the lower part of the hotel is very shallow.

The staff was not so friendly especially the gentlemen who works in the morning he was not helpful with the bikes and anything the other staff would promise he would not help. the bikes that they rent are way overpriced and not taken care of. The pool
