Park Hotel Turku

The old atmosphere was wonderful.

This is a quirky hotel complete with chandeliers, tapestries and one-off decor. The staff was great and it was within easy walking distance for the train station. The bed in my room had an uncomfortable headrest and only a single pillow for cushioning.

Breakfast had very few items on the menu.

This hotel is really an interesting experience. It is a art nouveau building with very antique (and stylish!) rooms and common spaces. Our room had a large painting and an old clock on the walls, a large bed, and a comfy sofa. It was also impressively warm, given how cold it was outside (we stayed on the winter). There was a bathtub in the bathroom. The hotel also has a very convenient location: close to the train station and to the city center. The staff is nice and helpful. Finally, we were also surprised by the variability in the included breakfast. It was not much, but more than we expected. Its main advantage is also its main disadvantage: the hotel is old. The furniture looks a bit fragile, the walls are not-so-thick (you can hear people walking on the hallways), and some spaces have that distinctive "old building" type of smell. None of these things were an issue to me, personally, but I understand that they might be a problem for some people.

Loved the look of the hotel. Beautiful antiques Felt like being back in time. Location was great, easy to get to train station and easy to get into town, very walkable. Staff was very pleasant. I was in room 204, which was beautiful, but the beds were very, very soft. Started in one, couldn't sleep. Moved to the next bed, still bad. Have a back ache now. In addition, no way to modify the heat. I was able to open the window, but did not give much reprieve. I did recommend a get new mattresses for that room. for me, the bed is the most important, so if I cannot sleep, it ruins my stay.

Centrally located, comfortable historic hotel. Terrific breakfast. Fairly low ceiling on 3d floor (I’m over 6 feet). A bit cluttered and Victorian.

Location was excellent. We enjoyed staying there. Nothing!

The location is wonderful, right by the Puolalanpuisto park area, a really nice part of the city centre. Very friendly staff. The hotel is in a stunning old building and has a very quirky feel to it. The rooms have proper mini bars!! Extremely quiet for being in the middle of the city. I get the idea that the hotel has old world charm, but some aspects are seriously out of date: old curtains, tiling and wood panelling etc, which would require some refreshing. The bedding in our room was also too soft.

The place was like s time capsule. Weird but lovely retro design. Breakfast was a bit simple for selective diet (Gluten and dairy free).

This is like a time machine! It was comfortable and nice to go 25-30 back in time!

Breakfast could be better for the price otherwise very nice

The only thing I do not like or appreciate at this hotel is the bathrooms. Renovating them is a bit overdue....

The hotel is clean and comfortable. I like that it’s centrally located near major attractions, and the train station is just a 10-minute walk away.

Lovely hotel. Good breakfast, friendly and welcoming staff, private parking was excellent.
