WANDER STATION VARANASI

We had a wonderful stay at Wander Station, Varanasi. The staff were very cooperative and helpful. The room was clean ac was properly functioning and the room was cleaned on a daily basis. The Chausatti ghat was nearest from the hostel but one can reach pandey ghat , Dashaswamedh ghat just by 5 mints of walking from the hostel. What an awesome hostel. It was my first time and the experience indeed intrigued me to visit for the second time. The corridor around the hostel was a bit dirty. People threw daily garbage on the walking way. Poor maintenance around the hostel area is a minus however there's no fault I can truly find in this hostel.

Location: Very Good the location is very near to the ghuts, temples etc. also shore of ma Ganga. Food: searching of restaurants are difficult here. to get a clean food is quite difficult task Transport: no cars or four wheeler go near to the hotel. you will have to walk after getting down in the road. its approx half a kilometer. Staff: they are good and cooperative. but not helpful to support to find the good place to visit. Clean Yes. the room and bed and bathrooms are clean. it s quite old building. but its clean. hot and cold water always available in the bathroom. I recommend that you will have to take your own bathtowels and accessories even they provide. its just adjustable quality. Transport

Wifi, was not working , AC in two bed room ( i.e 202).

The property is super nice, the rooms are clean and tidy.

The staff was very friendly

Amenities looked old. But this is acceptable since Varanasi is known to be an old city. However, there is always room for improvement and making the stay stand out against the others.

The staff was very kind. Fair money exchange service. Nice rooftop balcony with incredible views. 4 person dorm was comfortable and clean. Awesome location. The restaurant owner on the balcony will hit you with the “don’t have change” or give you wrong change all together. Also saw him giving a couple a hard time that brought a beer from outside to enjoy on balcony.

Unfortunately I didn’t meet anybody to explore Varanasi with.

You can really experience staying in the heart of the Ganges. Not a place to rest, more to emerge yourself in the local culture

Location is nice - close to a popular ghat. Yet it is in a relatively quiet area. Room & bathroom were quite clean. Staff is helpful. After check out they helped us in carrying our luggage to the main road which was a bit far. Thoughtful of them to place a hot water kettle in a common area for anyone to use. High speed wi-fi. To reach the hotel you have to move thro a short 'tunnel' which remains dark & generally dirty. Rooms are very small - it is in fact difficult to move around. Bathroom too is very small. Bathroom had leaky taps. TV in the room was not working. Bed has soft mattress. Rooms are quite basic. Not a good value for money. For half the cost you can get similar rooms in that area. Don't expect any sound proofing in the rooms.

Room is good, though cleaning, specially bathroom wasn't great. The hostel itself is pretty nice, the cook is amazing, took pretty much all my meals there. You can book sunrise and sunset boat rides there, which are way more worthy than getting a boat from the pier Location (if you don't get lost) is 1 minute from nearest ghat, a quite chill one. Reception is not very welcoming at all. You don't feel very comfortable asking for help/booking things, even though they end up helping you. The pick up/drop from airport is quite awful. It isn't 100% hotels fault, the city is very hard to navigate, but both times the taxi dropped us on a different location than the one mentioned which required 15 minute wait for the guy to guide us + 15min walk. If you have luggage other that backpack forget this!

The location is excellent, the staff is excellent and very friendly. The place is clean and tidy. Helpful and knowledgeable staff ready to help even at midnight

The terrace could have been made much more better than what it actually is, or is shown in the picture.

Bed is comfy. Inspite of the great reviews there are certain realities that would hurt one. Foremost is the entrance to the stay, the alley is not kept clean neither by the neighbors around nor by the staff. In and out the toilets are not very clean and upto date. I would not recommend it unless you are traveling dirt cheap.
