Mother Hostel

Owner's nature, behaviour and client dealing was totally poor and unprofessional. We paid him in advance, which was our biggest mistake we made during the trip. No hospitality. My sister was also travelling along with me and we had total disastrous experience. **DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE EVEN IF YOU ARE GETTING FREE STAY. I AM GOING TO FILE A WRITTEN COMPLAINT IN CONSUNER COURT

It's was good but not that much wow for us ‌, we are visiting 3rd time so we thought of trying other areas but ok good ?

Location was perfect! The host Gaurav and his sister were nice, especially sister's lovely laugh:) Monkeys at the window made my everyday:) Smelly towels; old, big, useless sofa with washed off cover in the room; peeled off plastic tablecloth; no shower, just indian style bucket shower; toilet hand shower was dangerous to use, because it had no head. Very, very hard mattress on the double bed.

Hostel has nice family vibe. Very friendly. It's in a good location as well. I also found it fun as I could observe the monkeys from the upstairs patio at the same time being protected from them.

A big shoutout to Mr. Gaurav, the owner and caretaker of the hostel. In truth, I booked a room for my father (a senior citizen traveling alone for the first time to Varanasi) and he was of the opinion that Mr. Gaurav was a wonderful host who looked after his every needs and was forthcoming. The hostel is well located too.

Very well located as nearby many point of interests from the town. We have been warmly welcomed by the host and his family. The room it self is clean and comfy, the common area upstairs is perfect to relax and meet some other travellers. If you are looking for a place to feel home and quiet to enjoy peacefully your stay this is the one!

Everything was very good. Very clean and safe hotel. Hot shower. Spacious room. Quiet hotel ( i didn’t hear any noise from the street). Very helpful staff. Owner helped me a lot and dropped to railway station in the night.

The host was very rude most of the times and not guided honestly. We reached late around 9 and we wanted to visit bhairo baba temple for attending aarti but the host guided us that varanasi is not safe in the night and the temple will be closed by 10 PM. He all lied because he wanted to sleep and he mentioned that the doors will be closed by 11 PM. So, he misguided us so that we do not leave the hostel and he could sleep without any disturbance. Even he denied to provide hot water to my mother who was a senior citizen. Hosts like them are a shame to the hospitality industry and should not be listed on global platform such as booking.com. The friendly family atmosphere

The location is perfect and the staff is very friendly. The bed is not comfortable, it was quite cold and very humid despite having blankets. The pillow was very uncomfortable and old. The quality-price ratio seems very expensive to me.

The location is perfect for the Ghats. Our host Gaurav couldn't be more helpful.....a really nice guy. Nice spacious rooms with ac and hot shower. We got here late and tired so Gaurav made us a very welcome coffee and made sure we were comfortable.? It's a family run home with good security, excellent for single travellers.

Gaurav was very helpful, the room was nice and the place is near of the ghat. Also, they have a wonderful terrace. The room a little cold at morning.

People the owners were ok types No water to drink provided in room No soap provided,no morning tea even. When i asked for this, reply we don't provide that.

Mother hostel is a very central place in Varanasi center and you can reach the best spots from there. Rooms are good and peaceful. The hosts Gaurav and Ruby are friendly and welcoming. I recommend this place and would like to come back my next time in Varanasi.
