We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. We needed to be near Piazza San Marco and this place was basically 1 ½ blocks away. It was on a tiny street, so we had literally no early morning noise. The room was clean and nice sized. The bed was comfortable and there were charging ports nearby. The air conditioning worked well even during the heat wave we were having. The elevator was broken upon our arrival, but luckily it was repaired quickly. This would have been a game changer for us had it not been fixed. The breakfast offerings were fresh and lovely. The front desk people were helpful and informative (Especially Hassan). He was able to contact a tour company and get us set up for a group tour to Murano and Burano. This was especially helpful as my husband is disabled and we needed a boat which could assist and accommodate a 4-wheeled walker. The walkway beside the hotel had nice shops, restaurants, café’s (if you need an early breakfast) and a fantastic gelato shop. The San Zaccaria dock was about 2 ½ blocks away and there were several bridges with walkways making it easy to navigate with a walker. Also, several restaurants along the dock with great food and huge misting fans. The only negative about the hotel was our room had a bathtub/shower with no grab bars making it very dangerous and slippery. Luckily our son’s room had a walk-in shower which we were able to use. Make sure to request a walk-in shower when you book. I think what happened was they mixed up my son’s and our room, so we ended up with a tub. We will definitely stay here again if we visit Venice

The bed was a bit small and the elevator only reached the 3rd floor. If you're on the 4th you're gonna have to carry your luggage one flight but staff did offer to help

The location was perfect, the breakfast was really good, I was not informed there was a charge for it so that was a surprise, but it was delicious. The rooms were not very clean at least the bathroom when we checked in. The air conditioner never really got the room, cool enough for the hot weather. Kept trying to turn the air conditioner lower, but it never went lower. And the gentleman who checked us in, was not very friendly, seemed pretty annoyed
-
The only downside was that the air conditioner was a bit noisy at night. Other than that, everything was great.
-
Location is very accessible, and the price is great.

The place was well located, clean, the staff is great as well. I’ll book again in my next time in Venice.
-
Location fabulous right near St Marks Plaza and many restaurants. Breakfast was outstanding. Room was comfortable and there was an elevator. Water taxi very close so luggage transfer was easy. Shower was a bit tight, but that seemsnormal for Italy and France.
-
Location was excellent. Short walk from the vaporetto stops. Quiet street. Lift was great for luggage. Helpful staff.
-
Close to saint mark Easy to find, except we could not open the window.
-
Second time at Commercio et Pellegrino. a little small for a twin room to share, but everything was clean and tidy. Charming and helpful staff, especially considering our late arrival after a 5 hour delay. Decent breakfast, great coffee! Location is amazing. nothing to do with the hotel, but the building across the way was being gut renovated, so building noise started early.
-
NO AC which necessitates leaving windows open and NOISE
-
Perfect location near St. Mark's as well location to the water buses. Room was a little small but certainly met our needs for a two night stay. Staff was very helpful and informative. Nothing in particular I can think of.
-
It was very well located being close to vaporetto and major attractions plus numerous restaurants. No elevator to the top floor where our room was. The breakfast was good but could have been better .

The hotel is in an excellent location, just a few minutes' walk from the docks at Piazza San Marco and within easy reach of Venice's main attractions. The room was charmingly decorated, and the beds were very comfortable. Our room was situated on the side opposite the reception and main entrance, with the window directly above the service entrance of a neighboring hotel. As a result, it became quite noisy from around 6:00 a.m. onwards, with staff unloading deliveries and people talking loudly outside. If you are sensitive to noise, I would recommend requesting a room that does not face this side of the building.

The air conditioning could have been better. It was quite warm in the room.
-
Great location and friendly staff (except AC) It was very hot the last week of April and they refused to run the air conditioning until May. The open windows caused numerous (dozens) bug bites on exposed face and arms on the second night and excessive heat on nights 3&4.

No complaints.
