Aqua Palace Hotel

Loved the location, the staff was friendly and helpful, the room was large, clean and comfortable

The room was large with high ceilings and an oversized bathroom. The breakfast area was small but adequate. The woman I remember was Barbara who was polite and always ready with a cappucchino and smile to greet us each morning. GianCarlo at the desk was exceptionally helpful with us regarding securing a train to Rome at our departure. He helped us with the App and the options - taking extra time to ensure we were good to go! The location was just perfect and between the two most important parts of Venice: Rialto Bridge and San Marco's Square. But quiet enough to escape from the chaos. Originally we were given a room (106) that did not have a view but it had a window that was blocked by the roof. We requested to be moved and we were to the one above it (206), which was slightly better. The staff was great in making sure we were happy and comfortable. Our room had an odd odor - maybe from the air conditioner - it smelled sour but we were reluctant to say anything after we had already requested a room change. The room was dark though - which with alleys and close buildings is a given. But the dark furniture, walls, and bedding didn't help. I would suggest they go lighter to help brighten up the ambiance a bit!

Location is ideal, a few minutes walk to most sites. Elegant classic hotel in excellent condition. Comfortable in every way. Classy bar with nice background music. Breakfast is upscale in a beautiful room. All great!

Location, design and beds, quiet rooms. Bad were soft but rest after full day of walks around city is excellent. Has its own access to Chanel - comfortable for taxi.

Location

The location is perfect, super close to all the main attractions in San Marco. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The facilities are great and very comfortable. The rooms are cozy. The breakfast is of very high quality and has a modest variety (for the size of the space). The transfer arranged by the hotel team was on time and of good value for the money. Would highly recommend this place if your budget can cover it.

The room and bathroom were very clean and well maintained. The staff was great — every request was handled promptly and professionally. Breakfast was good (buffet style) with a nice selection. We would especially like to thank Barbara for her exceptional service. She is very attentive to guests — she even remembered what coffee or tea we preferred and when we usually had it. We felt that the lighting in the room could be slightly brighter, especially in the evenings. There was also only one chair, although the room did include a sofa. For guests who are particularly sensitive to noise, it may be worth noting that we stayed in a canal-view room. On a few nights there were people outside, and since we preferred to keep the window open, we occasionally heard some late-evening sounds. In the early morning (around 6:30–7:00), it was sometimes possible to hear loading and unloading activities. This did not bother us too much. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would gladly return.
