Hotel Riviera
About Hotel Riviera
Hotel Riviera Venezia Lido is housed in a historic palace and features a panoramic, strategic location in front of the lagoon and the waterbus stop, within quick reach of Venice’s historic center. From the waterbus stop located just outside the hotel you can reach St. Mark’s Square, in Venice, in about 10 minutes. The waterbus stop offers regular service to Marco Polo Airport, Piazzale Roma Bus Terminal and Venezia Santa Lucia Railway Station as well. Lido is more affordable and tranquil than Venice - and yet very close to it. The seaside resort has also attractions of its own, including the beach (the hotel can arrange sun beds and umbrellas on request) and the Venice Film Festival. The hotel offers charming views of the lagoon and unforgettable sunsets. Guest rooms are clean, comfortable and fitted with all conveniences. License Number(s): 027042-ALB-00435

Location and the staff The room was a bit cold and the air conditioner wasn’t working.

The hotel is pretty old, and the AC we used for heating was loud and could use cleaning. The bathroom is really small, we are average-sized people, and for us it seemed very narrow. There are quite a few bars/restaurants around, which is definitely a plus if you want to eat, but you can hear people talking and laughing till late past midnight.

Breakfast was really good The location is a little challenging, we should take the boat to reach the island from Venice.

Location was near the Vaporetto. When I booked the room, I booked a single. Beside the option for a single room there were photos of this room. Wooden floors, a window on the lagoon and a single bed. What I got was a wall to wall carpeted room (which for a super-allergic person like me is a nightmare), a double bed and a window that opened to a dark inner Cortile (Well the window wouldn't even open and it looked so awful that it had shutters to hide the horrendous sight), When the next morning seeing that a whole group of Americans were leaving after breakfast, I asked for my room to be changed, the receptionist smirked at me and said that first of all, they don't have single rooms with windows opening to the lagoon, and secondly they could not have photos of every room so the photos never reflect the reality. He also said the hotel was fully booked, but a huge group was leaving and piles of suitcase were at the door so they could easily have moved me before a new group arrived. For the next 5 days that I had already paid in advance, I passed every morning in front of rooms that were being cleaned and aired which looked exactly like the one I had seen but had not been allocated to me. So ... apparently their best room goes to groups but if you are booking separately you are given the dingy ones whose photos you will not see on the site !!!!

Location was very convenient to the Beach and the Casino. Communicating with host was very easy and helpful. No wifi/service was not available

We enjoyed getting off of the boat and seeing your hotel rightj across the street. The historic nature is positive, but the ammenities are dated.

The single room and the hotel was more than I expected from booking! I had a great experience staying there, all necessary facilities were in the room, bedsheets and towels soft and clean - was changed everyday. There was a comfortable make up table with the big mirror, tv, a sofa, convenient wardrobe, safe and additional blankets. And the view of the room is SEA ?? Overall the hotel’s interiors are very beautiful truly Venetian style, and of course the location is toooop! It’s just in front of the station, so it’s easy to take a boat to Venice, besides lots of nice restaurants and bars on the street, and ofc the is that it’s 10 mins walk from beautiful and fully equipped beaches of Lido. Stuff was always nice and helpful. There is also good restaurant on 1st floor to have a breakfast with beautiful sea view. I liked all, but it was a little noisy at night until 2 am from bars. For me was no problem, but maybe for others can cause inconvenience ??♀️

Perfect location. The breakfast was good. The room was clean fine but could use an update. The gentleman at reception in the afternoon/evening is unfriendly and doesn't seem to enjoy his job. He could learn a lot from the friendly and courteous gentleman who is at the reception in the mornings.

The location is excellent. It is directly across from the ferry terminal. My room was a bit noisy in the evening.

Well positioned opposite the water bus and near restaurants. The room was basic, the decor not authentically venetian, just very dated. There were only 2 pillows on the bed, so we asked for extra and were handed 2 pillows without cases to take to our room ourselves. No porter service for luggage either. Unusual for a hotel not to have a quilt on the bed but instead had one sheet, one thin blanket and a thin throw which was very cold. The website advertised a full mini bar but it was completely empty and there were no tea, coffee or bottles of water. The shower although large didn't have anwhere to stand toiletries. The breakfast was a very basic self service which we had on the first day but didn't bother again and I wish I hadn't paid for in advance. The website advertises an airport shuttle but this doesn't exist so we had to find our own way to the airport.

We had an ant infestation, The walls were so thin you could hear the people in the next room going to the toilet!! Or if people in the above rooms used the shower you could hear them water ? The glass chandelier in the ceiling would constantly make a noise when people on the floor above walked , no air conditioning as they had to only be used for heating!!
