Vienna Hostel Ruthensteiner

Really thoughtfully laid out with a calm, relaxing vibe. We had a free upgrade to a beautiful apartment that was fabulous and made our stay in Vienna so much better still.

I had a wonderful stay at Ruthensteiner Hostel, Vienna. The hostel is in a perfect location, The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff was always welcoming and professional. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Vienna. Excellent service, great hospitality, and a fantastic overall experience. I would definitely choose Ruthensteiner Hostel again on my next visit!

The personnel was fantastic! Already at the arrival they provided all the information regarding the hostel (breakfast/dinner time) and some amenities (possibility to rent the bike, discounted transportation ticket). All over the hostel the information was provided in a clear and creative way. There was the possibility to leave your own bike in a safe deposit, to store the luggages for free, the kitchen was well equipped and the guests were very nice. The hostel is located in a quiet area just some minutes by foot from Mariahilfer Strasse. My room was clean, spacious and with a fan included Everything was fine. My only suggestion is to provide shower gel instead of bar soaps

Staff were friendly and the downstairs bar was a great place to socialise if you want to. The kitchen was very well equipped and spacious so a couple people can cook at the same time. The laundry was €6 but the detergent was free and they had places to hang your clothes out to dry. Good location well connected to the major train station, centre of the city, and can get to the airport using public transport. I didn’t use it but they have a pass you can borrow from them for public transport that’s €5 a day. If I’d stayed in Vienna for a shorter period of time that would’ve been so useful!! It’s out of the centre but honestly it was a much better location than the centre part of town imo. Nothing really

The location was perfect to get around, staff are lovely. Met so many cool people too and loved the dinner nights and chilling in the common area with everyone. Clean rooms showers etc clean and lovely. No air con. Slept 3 hours per night for 4 days as too hot

Very great services from the hostel. Help with transportation and tips for sightseeing. Great facilities for socializing. Nice and helpful staff. Delicious dinner. The bed was placed on wheels and felt like it might fall apart.

I was there in the begining of July, lovely location, close to the metro and westbahnhof. Provide free laugage storeage before checking in and after checking out. The common area is nicely designed, with a small yard. The beer at the small bar was reasonably priced. The breakfest and vegetarian dinner were surprisingly delicious. I managed to make some friends and we went to the Danube Music Festival and parties together. I really did enjoy my stay there and wouldn't mind go back for my next visit. No AC in the room, so it could be hot during the day. The check out time is a bit early.

Spacious, comfortable accommodations with secure bicycle storage, an excellent location, and exceptional staff. They were incredibly accommodating and flexible when my flight was canceled and repeatedly delayed before my arrival. I couldn’t stay longer

The friendly atmosphere here is notable. The staff is very kind and helpful. The laundry machines are great to have on a long trip. The kitchen is great and the garden seating area is lovely. There is a pay as you wish dinner and coordinated group events most nights. This hostel makes a lot of effort to build community. We enjoyed our stay here very much. The garden closes at night which made it harder for me to get to the laundry room during that time.

Nice garden and well kept business which make it lovely place for patrons. Kitchen is somewhat small.
