Charming Blue

This was our third stay at Charming Blue. We love the attention each guest gets from the staff. We are always made to feel special We had no complaints. The only thing missing was Sangria for my wife

Missed a Bath tub and bidé The pool was not heated / covered, there was no outside area that was welcoming to sit and rest

In my opinion, the nicest hotel in Vila do Porto. Breakfast is included and it's real good! All the staff is friendly and always have the xtra time to help out with a question or simply chat. The hotel and rooms are spotlessly clean

Breakfast was a nice buffet of meats, cheeses, scrambled eggs, yogurt and bread with jam. Great coffee and juice.

Great hotel located right in the center of town. Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, and clean rooms.

Nice rooms, comfy beds, good shower. Rented bikes, they were good too. The hotel even provided us with a packed breakfast as our flight was too early.

Rather new, well decorated and very spacious room at the rear side of the hotel. Excellent beds an calm. Breakfast was somewhat too simple, compared to other hotels (comparable category and price level) we booked on Azores Islands.

This is a charming hotel, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. As it was our honeymoon, we arrived to a small bottle of champagne, biscuits and a bed decorated with hearts and flowers, such a lovely thought. The staff were all friendly, efficient and courteous. The hotel restaurant had excellent food and wine. The balcony was only a juliet, so we were unable to sit on it. There was no kettle or tea/coffee in the room. The air-conditioning couldn't be altered, just really cold or off and then it stopped working altogether. Breakfast could be more varied and perhaps a small change each day.

Same thing every day. Scrambled eggs and sausage everyday barely warm, assorted breads Every day air conditioner went off at 11 am not put back on until 4 pm, during the night it would shut of again. We complain everyday, we were not the only guests complaining.

It was a pleasure staying there.

Dinners in the restaurant were very good. Breakfasts could have been better and more varied.

The property was centrally located in Vila do Porto My room was not cleaned following the first night of my stay despite my leaving the card outside requesting that it be cleaned and apart from it remaining unclean I was left with no water or toiletries (which were minimal in any event - a tiny amount of shampoo and shower gel). When I raised this with the young man at reception he didn’t offer a single word of apologies or seek to resolve the problem (I have to say I found his manner quite uncommunicative and unfriendly during my stay). When I sought water for my room he told me to go to the restaurant for it and they wanted to charge me for the bottle of water. Their whole attitude was uncaring, indifferent and inactive. I told them I would be commenting on my experience to Booking.com but they didn’t seem to be bothered by this. I had to demand shower gel and shampoo at reception that night as they made no effort ti provide it.

Nice big room on second floor with small balcony, chairs and table looking out over the hills and swimming pool, nice, clean and quiet. Staff helpful and pleasant, everything handled smoothly. Breakfast was good, fried eggs to order as was americano,coffee and expresso. Our stay would have been better if weather had cooperated,but otherwise a great stay. Not a dislike but restaurant was on the expensive side compared to some excellent restaurants up the road.

Excellent place to stay, nice boutique hotel with large rooms (plus balcony to the pool side) and very comfortable beds. Staff is super friendly and the breakfast is great

This is a nice hotel, but not as good as I expected for the price. For the room price, I was rationed to 1 small bottle of water over 2 nights. Tiny shampoo / shower gel bottles are very outdated and wasteful. Shower wasn't very clean too.

Amazing staff! Felt very welcome at all times.
