very bad smell across the lobby and room

Bit difficult to navigate from time to time. Staff is friendly but language was sometimes a bit of a hurdle.

The location is beautiful and the garden/outdoor area is very nice. The property itself has a pleasant atmosphere, and some members of the staff were polite and helpful. Unfortunately, our stay had several issues. When we entered the room, the sink was blocked and overflowed when I washed my hands. The welcome water bottle was empty and dirty, and I was told at reception that I should fill it myself. During the heatwave there was only a duvet and no lighter cover, which made sleeping uncomfortable. The shower water temperature kept changing from hot to cold. Around 3 p.m., a fire alarm/drill woke us up and scared us, as we thought there was a real fire. We also ordered chicken for lunch, but both my girlfriend and I could not eat it because it was extremely chewy. Some staff members were polite, but others did not speak English, which made communication difficult. Also, the terrace I paid for was not covered, so it was practically unusable in the heat and sun.

Breakfast was caotic, too many people and less staff. We could not have œufs pouche as offerzd from the kitchen, at 9:30 no more crepe (end of breakfast is at 10am), no mugs available neither, no more bread option….

What a beautiful resort, the breakfast was great and much appreciated. We also liked the facilities of the pool and games room, really helped keep the teens entertained. The property was immaculately clean and the staff very helpful. It was further out of town than I realised so cost a bit transport wise, but that is the only downside.

It's a good location Restaurant full for hotel guests. Very little choice on the room service menu. I went with 28 EUR cold vegetarian linguini that took an hour to arrive. The 'spa' area is a joke.

Beautiful setting and a it makes a change to have a hotel with many rooms that is on just two floors not in a tower block. Comfortable large bed. Spacious place perfect for Chantilly. Pool and spa facilities good for a weekend break. Uncomfortable metal chairs in the dining room which would be more suited to a motorway cafe. The breakfast needs more healthy cereal and fruit/compote options. A suggestion - The breakfast layout needs adjusting, for example there could be plates near the bread and larger bowls near the yoghurt and fromage frais. Everyone is walking around looking for the components they want. The bath is DANGEROUS! An older person could easily slip and fall getting in or especially out. If you’re having a bath it takes 20 minutes to fill and is really small, and the taps are hard to reach unless you are actually in the bath. If you don’t want people to use take baths, why not put in a nice big shower.

We were allocated a large room on the top floor with a view over the pool and golf course. The room and bathroom were very clean. We dined in the dining room which has a lovely view of the golf course. The food and service were excellent and reasonably priced. Breakfast was also good. Staff were polite and friendly. The carpark was some distance away from the hotel rooms. The hotel grounds are quite shabby , not manicured as you would expect in such an ideal setting. The grass in the area around the hotel was quite long and full of weeds. By comparison, the golf course looked well cared for. Btw, I’m from Australia, not HongKong as recorded by Booking.com

Location, in a middle of a beautiful forest very close to Chantilly Castle. Doesn’t reflect the number of stars they claim they have. There are water infiltration that are visible on the façade of the building. Most of the hotel staff doesn’t speak English which is strange for a international hotel chain. Fun fact: we ordered on one occasion two salads ( nothing special, something they had in their menu) and they serve it in a box, similar with the airplane lunch boxes. I mean for 17 euro a salad they can do the effort to serve it on a plate and pretend they made a minimal effort.
