The breakfast is satisfactory, the parking facilities are excellent, and the location offers great, convenient proximity to the city. Our four-bed, ground-floor apartment directly faced the main road, resulting in heavy noise from passing buses. The room was uncomfortably hot, forcing us to keep the windows open for ventilation, which only amplified the traffic noise. Additionally, the mattresses were hard. For over €400 for a two-night stay, the quality felt overpriced and resembled a budget student pension. While our experience was disappointing, rooms for singles or couples might be better if they face away from the road.

Good location just outside the old town and easy to get to by car without being stuck in traffic. Very convenient for families. The room was basic but comfortable and so were the beds. Very good breakfast. Friendly staff. One big downside: The location of our quadruple family room was terrible. First floor, on the sidewalk, street level, just behind the bus terminal where people wait and smoke. They could practically be in the room with us with windows open. During hot summer days, you want to open the windows for air and it removes all intimacy possible. And the room was hot.

Very nice, super clean and really great breakfast. The staff were very friendly and professional. You can hear the bus coming and going in the evening.

Hostel Salzburg-Wals is a really good option!

Breakfast was excellent, the facillities exceeded my expectations and the staff was very friendly and helpful. There were no towels in the rooms.
-
No soap or towels in the bathroom, and no fan made the room uncomfortably hot.

Pleasant

The staff was great, the girls were very friendly and the breakfast was great too There should be a couple of rooms for families, not only bunk beds. Also the soap dispenser was empty
-
The room was very spacious. The hostel has everything you need and it is very easy to get from it to the city center.
-
Excellent location. Easy to get to the historical centre. Easy parking. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. I highly recommend this hostel for families. The bus stop is right outside the hostel and they run frequently. The beds were comfortable. The room was a little dusty and it was a little pricey but the free parking and breakfast were a big plus.

excellent price! the hotel's location is relatively far from the city but there is a small bus station in front of it. that's really nice.
-
Great location, in a quiet place and the bus station is literally in front, and can take you in the city center directly. This is a college dorm room, with bunk beds, a table with chairs and a surprisingly big and nice bathroom. Everything was very very clean, like a hospital, even the breakfast serving room was squeaky clean. Breakfast was nice and rich. The staff very friendly. There is a huge free and safe parking area. For towels you need to pay 1.5€ each.

Almost everything. Staff is top notch and super helpful. A toilet floor mat would be good

Good location. Easy to reach from the highway

Minimalistic, purpose-built. Amazing breakfast! A bit off downtown Salzburg.

Nothing Extremely disappointed by my stay. First of all, it's not a hotel but a youth hostel (not at all obvious from the description). The rooms look like a vacation camp, but where are the pine-scented rooms described in some of the reviews? We were on the front of the building, no air-conditioning, so the window was open onto the bus stop 3 m from the window, so it was extremely noisy. Bad luck, there was no cold water in the morning (not a good thing when you want to fill your water bottle before a 6-hour drive). The refectory used as a breakfast room is just horrible, extremely noisy (designed as it was in the 70s). The breakfast (praised in other reviews) is frankly shabby and run by staff who are clearly not very motivated by their work. Last but not least, the advertised beautiful view just doesn't exist. Don't be seduced by the incomprehensible good rating and the glowing reviews.

Comfortable beds, Clean. Good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy parking. On edge of town so good for getting an early start. There is a regular bus from the stop outside the hostel that takes you to the centre via the airport so it would be an ok place to stay even if one didn't have transport. The automatic light in the bathroom which is not fun in the middle of the night.
