Deborah Lofgren, Front Desk Supervisor greeted us with a smile and was extremely helpful! We arrived early from a long road trip and she went above and beyond to accommodate us with a room. We were able to get much needed rest before heading out for the evening. The room was immaculate and comfortable. I’d definitely stay there again.

Pretty nice place! The staff felt a little rude and lol, the lift never arrives!! And it was unfortunate for us that the rfid detector to open the door stopped working randomly because of a battery problem and we had to go up and down multiple times thinking it was a key problem.

We love our stay at this hotel. So well located. The staff was friendly specially Deborah. Breakfast was second to none. Great quality ingredients and the price accordly to the area so I recommend it prepay the breakfast. Thank you the lady what serve our breakfast every day, she was super kind and professional.

The air conditioning broke, we needed to change rooms but hotel was full. They did change us the second night, but had to bring a stowaway bed in. Overall, convenience to metro was the best.

Room was clean and bed comfortable. Room rate is great. Rolando the bar tender was friendly and accommodating. However, prices for drinks were higher than average. Oldie but a goodie- really like this hotel.

Loved the location of this property, easy access to metro and restaurants in the area. If you are looking for a boutique hotel this is the place. It is an older building but for the cost and location definitely worth it.

Great place

It is a beautiful property and the rooms are really nice and spacious. Location is great. One elevator out of two has been out of service for a while. Our room never got serviced during the day despite leaving a message to do so, at the front desk in the morning. We were delayed in arriving by a day due to flight cancellations, but the property manager refused to refund one night's charges. It is a wonderful property and I wish we received better service, so that I could give it 5 stars.

And showed them photos 2 mornings in a row as we were heading out for the day and they were still there after the room was cleaned. Let them know again upon checkout and I guess the maintenance guy was at the front desk and showed him the video. So hopefully they took care of it. One of the things elevators was broken.

The bathroom was very clean, and the toiletries were excellent. There was also a very good body lotion and a high-quality hair conditioner. After the shocking incident that had occurred during the night, the female receptionist on duty offered me a free breakfast the next morning and tried to find out what had happened. I also thought it was very kind of the first male receptionist to offer me a different room when I asked for one. I checked in and was given the so-called junior suite, that I had booked. Since I found the room rather dark and gloomy, I asked for a different room and the receptionist gave me room 814. It was smaller, but a little brighter. At 10:55 p.m., a man I didn’t know opened the door to my room from the outside and tried to get in. Thanks to my guardian angels or perhaps divinely guided intuition, I had just come out of the bathroom & was standing in front of the door because I had heard noises outside. When the stranger opened the door, which led directly into the room, I immediately pressed myself against it and managed to close it. Strangely enough, he reacted with neither astonishment, fear, nor surprise. I asked him through the door why he had been able to open it. He replied that the hotel staff must have assigned him that room. After that, I couldn’t sleep anymore and didn’t feel safe at all in that hotel! That night, after the alarming occurrence, I tried calling the front desk; at first, a woman hung up on me. Then the phone in the room stopped working, so I used my own cell phone. She didn’t answer the phone anymore. I tried several times. Then I sent an email, but received no reply. The male receptionist at check-in was quite friendly, and the receptionist on duty the next morning was also quite friendly; she tried to figure out what had happened and offered me a free breakfast. However, due to the indifference of the person on duty that night, I couldn’t give the staff a good review. The location wasn’t very central, there was a lot of construction going on nearby, and I didn’t feel entirely safe in the evening when it was dark. As a woman traveling alone, a situation like that is very scary. After that frightening incident, I would have thought it only fair if they had refunded part of my room.

I like The Churchill a lot !

Could not ask for a better experience lots of construction outside, but it was needed as the locals told me they’ve been waiting to get the Roads here fixed for a long time.. if you’re looking for modern decor this is not the place for you. This is vintage quaint, and very traveler friendly..
