West Des Moines Marriott

We parked on side that our room was located only to find our gas tank had been siphoned down almost to empty and found out the hotel has no cameras on that parking lot. The only cameras are on the front - would have appreciated knowing that. Otherwise the room was nice enough. We used room service which was outstanding food and service. I gave the poor review due to not feeling safe parking on the property.

Wow! What a top notch member of the Marriot Brand. We were coming in for the State Fair and a concert so I called day before to see if we could have an early check in or atleast leave our bags at the hotel since we would not be coming back until very late at night. They said to call as we were heading into DSM and check if our room was ready and so we did and got to check in by around 1:30 that day. Room was very nice. Clean and so quiet. And spotless.. . We slept like babies. The staff is awesome and they genuinely seem to like being there and what they do. One of the ladies was from Bosnia working with the other young man at check in and I loved talking with her as we shared similar cultures and spoke some of the same languages. We usually stay at Marriott’s and will stay here again- we’ve already told some of our friends how nice it was and half of what we pay to stay at the Surety downtown DM and honesty it’s only a short drive to anywhere you want to go. Cannot recommend enough.

I will not go through Expedia ever again. I paid extra for insurance. We left a day early because we had to and no refund the room never got cleaned while we stayed there.

Easy parking, Friendly staff and informative about surrounding area, Rooms were nice, clean,and quiet.

Rooms and public areas were amazingly clean, bright and welcoming. The pool was large for indoors and appeared to be enjoyed by several guests with children. I would definitely stay at this property again.

Need more front desk staff people

We enjoyed the pool, lobby, and Starbucks coffee at the bar in the morning. Our room was clean. My only complaint were the mattresses. They felt very worn out, none of us were comfortable sleeping. This would be the only thing preventing us from staying again.
