They go above and beyond with a wonderful breakfast buffet, cheese and wine and then warm cookies in the evening!!

Loved it! Very historic, but yet with little modern updates. Very nice and enjoyable stay.

Best place to stay in WS. Wine and cheese, cookies & milk at bedtime, and breakfast. Plus very clean and a great atmosphere.

The character of this property is amazing. Such history!

Parking east. Staff friendly. Room spacious, but bed high and difficult to get ibto (im 5'1"). Nice wine/beer cheese offering at night. Good buffet for breakfast, although wish the biscuits were lighter and less doughy, and the gravy a little more seasoned. Would definitely return, but not on a Monday when many wineries and restaurants were closed - and I'll bring a little stepstool.

There are places you visit… and then there are places that feel like you’ve come home. The Historic Brookstown Inn is one of those special places. ❤️ Tucked away in Winston-Salem, this beautifully restored historic inn blends the character of another time with the warmth and comfort we all crave. Built in 1837, the Inn’s original brick walls, exposed wooden beams, high ceilings, and timeless details tell stories that have lasted for generations. But what makes Brookstown truly special is the feeling you get when you walk through the doors. It’s cozy. It’s welcoming. It’s peaceful. It has that rare, home-away-from-home atmosphere that makes you want to slow down, settle in, and stay awhile. From its charming rooms and beautiful courtyards to its rich history and Southern hospitality, Brookstown Inn is more than a place to spend the night—it’s an experience. A little piece of Winston-Salem history that feels like a well-loved secret. If you’re looking for a getaway filled with beauty, history, charm, and comfort, put this hidden gem on your list.

This historic and charming space was clean, comfortable, spacious, and inviting. The staff was kind, welcoming, and assisted you in anything you wanted to know or needed right on the spot. I especially appreciated the wine/cheese hour as well as the milk/cookies hour.
