Xi'an Desti Youth Park Hostel Bell & Drum Tower

This facility is located in the city center and near the metro station. There are plenty of stores, restaurants, and supermarkets around the area. It is clean inside and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Xi’an Desti Youth Park Hostel Bell and Drum Tower is a fantastic base for exploring the city’s historic center. The hostel has an energetic, youthful atmosphere and is conveniently located near major attractions. I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to other travelers visiting Xi’an. Not enough laundry machines for a hostel of this size.

The room was fine, quite big, the location is probably the best part about this hostel given that it is right at the Bell tower and muslim quarter, etc. is a quick 5 minute walk. despite all the negatives, I would stay here again given the value for money and affordabillity. The room was constantly stuffy and a bit dirty. There was no storage area for suitcases or large bags (even for cabin sized suitcases) and so it had to be kept on the floor beside the bed. The bed is super flat against the floor and it can be a bit comfortable. the bed also tends to get very very hot at nighttime and stuffy almost - the other guests in my room kept turning the AC up, but it felt super suffocating whenever the AC wasn't completely cooled down and on low temp. The bathrooms were also not exactly clean - while there were people cleaning it a lot, it just felt quite musty due to the sheer amount of people using it at any given time. There are also only 4 toilets for such a large hostel - extremely insufficient in my opinion.

I really loved this place , so far my favorite hostel I stayed in china. the accommodations are top notch! And the price is incredible, the place was always clean, the beds are super comfortable, I felt I was on a shared hotel room . It has a cool common area with a bar, pool table and stuff to hang out , my friend that was going to another city found out they also had desti hostel there and book it right away, I tried to do the same for Shanghai but it was already sold out, it’s for sure one of the best options to stay for a great prize My only complaint for desti is the wifi connection, is really bad and it didn’t work most of the time

The place has a great atmosphere the meet different travelers. The food is amazing. The staff is very friendly. Room was a bit too small. Food availability at their kitchen was very limited. They might not serve some dishes for dinners and that was dissapointing because it's delicious.

The location is central to get around. Amazing staff ready to help with any information to make your vacation enjoyable. Clean and comfortable bed. No comments

Any Desti chain hostel is guaranteed to have a good location and clean environment! It’s literally just 15 mins walk to all the tourist spots like Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Muslim Night market. The staff at Xi’an location was a bit aloof compared to the other Desti locations (I stayed at 4) but it wasn’t a major issue for me as I was staying for just one night.

Staff is fine. At least from my experience, the reception were not the most attentive of people. The two girls at the bar were pretty nice, though.

Next to bell tower and city walls. Muesli mango yogurt and cappuccino. Helpful staff. Be proficient with your translator app. The steps to the building need to be upgraded by whomever owns the building.

Great hostel, one of the best ones on my trip around China. Location is perfect, close to main attractions. There is a great bar and socializing area. Atmosphere in the hostel was very social and pleasant. Many thanks to amazing staff, especially Heidi!
