Very comfortable and good breakfast

Good location with an easy walk to the middle of York. Parking was free. Breakfasts were excellent - full English breakfast one morning and eggs Benedict in the next morning. The hotel has a pleasant and comfortable pub with a good selection of beer and cider. The staff, who were also the owners, were really friendly and helpful.

Excellent location on the edge of the city walls and close to the University. The bus stop was really close, making it easy to get everywhere. None

Hello I was staying at the Victoria pub B&B as I was attending my nephew's wedding at York's register office in bootham, as the wedding was at 2pm ,The landlord Tim was very helpful in letting me check in early and he even went out of his way and personally drive me to the venue as I was going to book a ? taxi,couldn't fault the hospitality shown and the next morning breakfast was first class ,would definitely recommend staying here again nothing ,it was all perfect for me

Pleasant

Went for a weekend away for Easter with my husband to have some time together as we are a busy working mum and dad. We cannot say enough great things about this place! Room is immaculate and spotlessly clean, in-fact the whole upstairs just smelt really fresh and clean! Bed was so comfy! Room was perfect for the two of us. The pub was lovely, we spent one of our evenings there and had a great night! I don’t usually drink that much but I got a little drunk haha and had the best time! Breakfast was included in our booking and it was delicious! We’ve stayed in York a few times but never here, this was the best place we’ve stayed and we won’t be staying any where else! We will be coming back in the near future if you’ll have us!! Lovely couple running it all. Like I said, just can’t fault it. Worst part about it was having to come home haha! Thank you for a great stay we honestly loved it!!! See you soon 100 percent!! There was nothing we didn’t like.

Very clean and comfortable The breakfast could have been better

Good location and clean. Very expensive, tiny room, bright green fire light on the roof of the room. Toilet cistern wouldn’t stop flushing all night. Internet not working. No butter for our toast. Slamming door going all hours. Live music that was good, but went on very late. Did enjoy dancing in my bed at 2230.

The whole experience. Couldn't fault it. 1st class. Ideal for the Barbican Theatre. Nothing. All good.

Spotlessly clean room, lots of tea and coffee in the room (plus biscuits!), great full English breakfast, really comfortable bed. Short walk into the city centre and although we’ve been to York several times, we’ve never stayed this end of the city so saw lots of new streets, restaurants and bars. A really lovely stay.

Lovely, clean and tidy room. Great breakfast. Good value. Good location. Grubby smelling carpet, going up to the room. Emailed pub beforehand about dinner reservation- and got no reply.

Excellent location for exploring York, especially if visiting the Barbican. The team were very friendly and helpful. The rooms was very comfy and spacious, with tea and coffee making facilities. Nice clean soft towels, complimentary toiletries, convenient coat hangers, food menu for the bar / restaurant downstairs and a very informative guide book of York. We would definitely stay here again.
