I've stayed at the Hilton before. It's in a great area for the city centre. Staff are always pleasant right the way through your stay. They need parasols outside on the patio, as it was so hot

A great location. Clean and tidy. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast. No car park. Offered discount didn’t work for a public one. Central AC made my room too cold, so had a long night.

Good location, room big and clean, food okay. On booking the hotel advertises that it provides car parking, but this is misleading. They do not actually provide parking at the hotel; instead, they only offer a 20% discount at another car park. I believe the advertisement should clearly state that parking is not provided by the hotel and that only a discount is available. This was disappointing and caused unnecessary inconvenience. And lady at the reception desk was rude.

Our first visit to york. Great hotel, very clean and the beds where very comfortable. The room was much larger than we expected. Staff were very helpful. The location was the best thing though. Located a short walk from everything including Clifford tower, shops, restaurants etc. For saying it was a weekend and the centre of a busy city it was also very quiet in the evenings. There was lots of choice for breakfast, everyone seemed very excited about the waffle maker. We really enjoyed our stay.
