Location was good. Staff were great. Building is interesting and generally very nice on the restaurant and bar level. Room could have been a little cleaner but was not bad at all. Very comfortable bed.

The breakfast was good ...and the supervisor was very attentive . We also liked the attitude of the Reception Staff who were helpful , but at the same time helpless in the face terrible housekeeping . The hotel is located in a nice place The biggest issue is terrible housekeeping . This has probably been outsourced to some agency who is not training its staff properly . Rooms are not cleaned , cups and glasses are not washed , beds are not made or turned in, left over coffee was poured into the sink and left dirty , coffee pods and tea caddies are not replenished, hand towels are not changed, bath mats are rolled up wet ......just the bath towels are changed ...even if we don't want them to be changed ! The Front Office staff seem helpless ...and were unable to do anything about it inspite of my pointing this out to them. I even showed them the state of our room. ( though to be fair, the Reception Lady was kind in replacing the wet bath mats and hand towels ..but just once ) The food ( apart from breakfast ) is very disappointing . Our char grilled steaks were like coal, the fish was off ... There a charge of GBP 3 for using the umbrella ??? We are paying GBP 300 per night ! Surely this absurd charge is not justified !

Location gardens parking etc all fab Double deluxe room for son superb and values outstanding however husband and I booked junior suite it was awful dark and outdated very disappointing given what we paid - we had expected different style of room this also did not include breakfast- tried to change our room to liver level son has as was beautiful and £150 cheaper

Everything! We've stayed here 3 times before, in a different room each time. Each room is stunning, beds are huge and very comfortable too. Nothing.

Very attentive and friendly staff - able to change our room immediately as it smelt of cigarettes. They were very thorough with my husbands food intolerance. The air conditioning didn't work very well and so we had to have windows open which was on the busy road side so didn't actually sleep much. It was a shame to have to pay £20 for parking overnight. The evening meal wasn't as delicious as we would have liked.

The room was beautiful and spacious. We very much enjoyed eating at the hotel's restaurant. Their food was exceptional.

We checked inn late and were given 2 beautiful rooms, it was quiet, the beds were comfortable and it was very close to the train station. nothing all perfect

Nice room, clean, close to town , parking The staff had had problems with guests not paying for services and you had to pay before they would serve you. For us that was unusual!

Rooms were beautifully decorated and clean, with all the perfect facilities for an amazing stay. Staff were friendly and very accommodating, such an amazing team at Hotel du vin. Amazing value for money, will definitely be staying again and recommending to friends. Thank you very much!
