What a beautiful hotel in a brilliant location. They blond lady at reception was a ray of sunshine and so helpful. Our room was much bigger than we expected and the bathroom absolutely stunning. The bath was amazing and double showers. The bed was very comfortable although on the firm side. Brilliamt location especially for foodies. The only negative was the room wasn't very soundproof. We could hear the room next door dragging chairs around and talking loudly on the second night.

Excellent location, just a short walk to all the sights and with lots of restaurants nearby. Staff were extremely kind, spacious room, comfortable bed, all worked great. Would love to stay again. No free car park unfortunately. Car parks in central York are 18GBP per day, which is not cheap, but there is a convenient car park near the hotel.

I like that is walking distance to the shambles, yet it on the quieter side with many restaurants along the street. The hotel itself is very comfortable abd their staff are very friendly and helpful too. This is my second time staying in this hotel. A shoutout to Tim the bartender, you’ve made by husband and son’s day during their stay, they enjoyed talking to you. Nothing.

Location Breakfast was terrible ordered off menu both mornings and the food was awful. Eggs were not cooked the white was so watery, the bacon looked like it was out the packet and not the slightest bit crispy.

The location was good. Only a short walk to the centre of York. Also plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. We had a ground floor room which had not the biggest of windows therefore it was quite gloomy even with the curtains open.
