Pension Yufuin prides itself on an outdoor public hot-spring bath featuring large rocks, that’s unique in Oita. It also offers a garden, a terrace and free WiFi at the lobby. Some rooms overlook Mount Yufu, and the private-use hot-spring bath is available 24 hours. Japanese-style rooms come with a tatami (woven-straw) floor and traditional futon bedding, while Western rooms have carpeting and beds. All rooms come with a TV and yukata robes, and children’s amenities are available. Toilets and bathing facilities are shared. Yufuin Pension’s public hot-spring bath is available on different hours for male or female guests. The property features a garden and a shared lounge, and free parking is on site. Using fresh local produce, the pension serves a delicious breakfast that you cannot taste anywhere else. Breakfast is served at the breakfast room. The very, very friendly staff. They went out of their way to welcome us and send us off with warm wishes each time. The "family" (private) onsens were lovely, and the environment was spotlessly clean. The couple in the room next to us on the first night laughing loudly at 11pm with no regard for anyone else and the thin walls. Probably best to bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.

Located within an easy walk from Yufuin Station; very pleasant and helpful staff; dated and quirky decor ( especially the cow on the roof); fantastic rotenburo

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The hotel was also really nice and we loved the hot springs. Both the public and family baths were super nice. I highly recommend staying here.

Such sweet people. Due to terrible Shikansen delays we arrived very late and thr onsen was about to close. They kept it open for us for a little longer so we could soak the long day of off us. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. And the ouside Onsen is lovely.

Lovely lady who ran the pension was very helpful, informative and attentive. Close to supermarkets and local attractions. Enjoyable getting around the pretty township by foot!

An unbelievably helpful host and a beautiful location in lovely Yufuin made this one of the most memorable places that we stayed at in Japan. Highly recommended! Nothing at all.

Lodging does not include breakfast. Only coffee and tea are available at the common living room. We bought food from nearby shops so it wasn't an issue. We love the family onsen. None

The staff was incredibly kind and the availability of several onsen inside and outside was amazing. Breakfast is tasty and the centre of the town is just a short walk away. I would definitely recommend it if you plan to stay in the area!

I didn't eat breakfast here. As for the location of the accommodation, I'm not sure how much because I have my own car, but if traveling by train, you have to drag your own luggage. It may be a bit of a walk. There is an onsen outside the hotel that is very nice to use, but the weather was too cold. It's a shame we didn't use it. There are free bathing equipment available to use. Free parking
