Place where always is nice to be back

Great place! Nice atmosphere, central location, good amenities. In particular, I enjoyed the TV, the comfortable beds, the tea selection, and the lux bathroom. Many thanks for a great stay... I will stay again when I return to Zagreb! Minor thing, but communication could be improved with the front desk. They were very nice and answered my exact questions (nothing more), but sometimes you consult the staff because you need more thorough instructions that are hard to find online (or want to be sure they are accurate). This put me in a bit of a jam later.

Large quiet, clean room. We booked the room at 44 Illica as it's further away from the bar and sure enough it was very quiet. The Stay Swanky reception lady was very helpful and guided us to the room as it's a bit less obvious. We didn't try the breakfast as we had a early morning tour though there are multiple bakeries within a short walk.

Very good location. Comfortable beds, accommodating & helpful staff, modern & funky vibe, good AC & wifi. I liked the aesthetic of the hotel.. considering it was also a hostel. I booked here hoping to utilize the pool & gym. The gym was offsite and cost extra $. It only had weights, no cardio machines. I didn't know this ahead of time. The pool was also a bit small and VERY crowded, but likely due to the heat wave.. so understandable.

Lucija, the front desk manager-concierge on duty while we were there, was extraordinary. She not only helped carry our luggage up the stairs, but answered our many questions and gave us great suggestions for local activities and arranged for a punctual taxi driver to take us back to the airport for our very early flight. Since there's a lively bar on site, we were grateful that the windows were pretty soundproof. Terrific, central location. and lots of Asian-inspired options for breakfast. If you're visiting for the first time, ask for specific directions as the hotel entrance is in an alley, vs. on the main street. We arrived with a rental car in a bad rainstorm, and didn't know where to park to offload our luggage (in the middle of the street, between the two tram tracks and off any crosswalks, with the blinkers on). There was a technical malfunction with the fire alarm in the early hours one night during our stay, but the management apologized for it. If you're particularly sensitive to noise, the bar may be a bit of an issue.

We liked the pool a LOT! Breakfast was amazing, stuff is polite and helpful. Room was big enough and very clean, we can park our car just in front of appartment. We were woke up at 5 am by a bunch of drunken guys who stayed at the room next door. This was quite unpleasant.

My bed was missing one of its three curtains, leaving a gap where a glowing green emergency exit sign shone through. Also, because of the large windows, the room wasn't completely dark at night. I'd recommend bringing a sleep mask.

Location and outdoor cocktail bar. Super small but it was a hostel.

The room is entered from the driveway area, and therefore there is a bit of noise so bring your earplugs.

I would like to extend my gratitude to the staff, who waited for me until 1 AM, since my flight to Zagreb got delayed. They were very kind

Delicious free coffee from the coffee machine in the communal kitchen! Very clean space, comfy mattresses, great location and very friendly staff.
