Very central location with lots of restaurants in the same street. One street away from the river and short 10 min walk away from the train station. Breakfast was really great and the room was very clean. Staff and Manager were very friendly and helpful Current exterior painting of the property but this did not affect our stay at all Nothing negative and only positive feedback at a great central hotel

Great location The breakfast was quite limited

Location is excellent and rooms a good size. So many maintenance items required in the rooms and the bathrooms were so outdated. I don’t think I’ve ever seen thinner towels at a hotel.
-
The central location the excellent polite English speaking staff at breakfast & in reception It was covered in scaffolding & so no view from the room , this should have been mentioned before .

Really good location, the rooms were spacious and clean The room didn‘t smell nice

The hotel is well located near the old town and the main shopping street, Bahnhof Strasse. This was our first time staying at this hotel. I would give it 3 stars. There was no coffee in the room, and water was only provided on the first day. The double bed for two was small. The room for two had only one chair. There were no toiletries in the shower except soap, shampoo, and towels. The breakfast was very poor. When I asked about fish, they said it was only available on Fridays. We had previously stayed at a three-star hotel in Zurich, where the breakfasts were excellent and the egg selection was varied. This was the first time I learned that you have to pay extra for fried eggs. It seemed like the hotel was cutting corners. When we checked out, they called us every time we asked for time to pack, and it felt like we were being kicked out. Compared to other hotels in Switzerland, this one left us perplexed. I agree with another guest that the hotel deserves three stars. When we booked our room, we saw photos of a large bathroom and spacious room. The photos provided didn't match the original. We were given a room with a small shower. It felt like the two of us were being accommodated in a room designed for one person.

Nice hotel in the old town, pleasant staff, newly comfortable decorated room, rich buffet and near to tram stop and main station. Nothing to dislike

Property was fine, Clean and reasonable size room Breakfast was included but not bacon and eggs only scrambled eggs you had to pay extra for that, which a lot of other hotels give you in our past travels. I was very concerned at an incident where after the cleaner came and did her job in am, but about 3 pm, there was a knock on door but I thought it might’ve been for next door as I hadn’t requested anything,so I ignored it, then a woman with a white blouse opened the door and about to enter the room, when she realised we were in there she said sorry and left. I asked to see the manager about this but he obviously didn’t care to see me at all about the situation and just sent the reception staff, who was smirking all the time thinking this was a joke, so be very careful with your valuable and even the safe, because they all know the default code I didn’t feel safe after this incident, as there was absolutely NO reason, for a staff to enter our room. And even more disappointed that the duty manager couldn’t be bothered addressing me or reassuring me, so I wouldn’t recommend this to my family or friends for this reason,

Great location. Good soundproofing to street noises. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Very good breakfast. Bar unavailable for some time (perhaps due to renovations???) would have been good if we were notified of the situation. Air conditioning unit very noisy (as reported by many) but we found if you turned the machine to fan only prior to going to sleep, the noise was much reduced.

The location is ideal and I have stayed here many times in the past and always had an excellent experience the staff was more than helpful and assisted me with some train issues that I was having I would recommend this lovely little boutique hotel always. I expect to stay there again on my next visit to Zurich

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, lovely common areas , good size rooms. Aircon machine on floor in room with tube through window- but we totally understand this is now the norm in much of Europe in the hot summers
