It was good stay for one night. It is close to the airport and they offer free shuttle. Breakfast was ok.

I would say the price should be definitely cheaper comparing to the overall pricing in the country. But again, just a comment. Otherwise good hotel, super friendly staff. Don’t expect a lot from the breakfast, but still - breakfast is a good extra feature, thanks for that! Also, we had a few very noisy nights: means someone on the street was just listening to music incredibly loud through speakers. So, be prepared to have a disco from 8-9 pm and until 5-6 am the whole night. I have no idea what was that ? Overall, clean, friendly, close to airport, nothing bad happened during our stay of 10 nights ?

Hotel itself is clean and reception staff are helpful. Location is fine to walk around during the day but get a taxi back at night, like you would in any big city! Main problem was the airport shuttle did not come for me. I had booked it a week earlier and reminded them on the day of travel but it didn't show up. I tried messaging and calling on arrival but there was no answer. I used to live in Addis and so an comfortable taking a taxi alone, but for anyone new to the city, or arriving at night, this could worrying or scary. The hotel need to sort this out as I am not the first to have this experience.

This was my second time staying at New Day Hotel, so I wasn't expecting anything less. It's located in the Hayahullet area with several options for shopping. Additionally, very great WiFi connection! (By the way, I love the sound from the elevator when it reaches the floor). No complaints! I did have issues with my key card not working and that's why I used the manual key to enter my room. But even that wasn't a big deal.

I had a good stay at this hotel. Room is bog with comfy mattress. Wifi is very powerful. Breakfast is good and local Staff is very welcoming and helpful, Surroundings are full of stores but unfortunately not so much restaurants Pay in cash or with credit card but only in foreigner currencies (euro/ dollars) and not in birr. Strange isn't it. At least I experienced this situation and after 20 minutes of struggles I had the right to pay in local currency. Hotel and Booking should mention it

Some of the staff is nice, the upgraded room is spacious, the on-property restaurant is convenient and restaurant staff is very nice This is my third time staying and it will be my last. The property is not being kept up. The WiFi is still really bad despite all of the routers located throughout the hotel. I had a big problem with this last year and nothing has been fixed. The local’s smartphones have internet (as shown by the receptionist) but my iPhone nor Galaxy would load properly. There is no way a person who needs good wifi in order to upload and do work, is able to work. My biggest problem this trip was the driver who is employed by the hotel. He picked me up from the airport and called me on my whatapp to let me know he was here. Once I got outside, i tried calling him to find him but he did not answer. I sat up front in the car, and while we were driving he tried to grab and kiss my hand. Not fine and definitely awkward but I brushed that off. Fast forward to the evening before my departure flight: At 11:30pm I woke up to my WhatsApp ringing with his name on the screen. I did not answer and 1 minute later there was light knocking on my hotel room door. When I asked who it was, he said the driver. When I asked him (through the closed door) what he wanted, he fumbled his words and kept saying it’s the driver. Finally he asked me if I was leaving in the morning. I said yes. Then he asked what time. I was very stern and not friendly because this was totally inappropriate and I was nervous. I am a solo traveling female— the receptionist always relays the information to the driver and there is never a need for contact between the driver and the hotel guest. Why was he knocking on my door at 11:30pm?? How did he know what room I was in?? Why is he asking my information about my departure when he should have the details from the receptionist?? The phone in the hotel room could not call the front desk (this is a problem) so luckily I had a local SIM card and called the hotel to report him and ask why he was there. The manager said she would find out and call me back.

Appreciate the work ethics and efforts of the ladies and gents at the front desk Even with an open mind just couldn't get myself to like the place. Best to avoid if possible
