Pelican Alvor

The staff is extremely friendly, it was a very nice surprise based on other hotels experiences in Portugal. Everything clean and in good condition. I was with my wife and two sons, and we were not able to take shower, because there was no hot water. The rooms have individual heat water bottles and it has only 80 litters, insufficient for couple with kids.

The room interiors is old, renovation is needed. Kitchen appliances are outdated as well.

Large, clean and modern room with a complete kitchen. The pool could be open later.

The pool area was sensational, always enough seating. The cleanliness of the property, well maintained. AC was powerful. The bar service was slow, maybe a new employee but felt like a mission to get a drink. The bed could be abit softer.

The studio was cozy and felt like home. Loved it

Location, staff, food Beds uncomfortable, pool furniture needs replacing and pool area needs patrolling/cleaning

It was a bit noisy from the neightbours partying till the late night as well as music from some club or restaurant

The Staff was fantastic and breakfast wasn’t bad at all in my opinion! IT HAS NO SOUNDPROOFING!! Every little creak every little bump can be heard also don’t bother putting the do not enter sign on your door as my husband and I did that and it was just removed and the cleaners came in regardless. Our fridge didn’t work and neither did the dishwasher. The place was dusty and the bathroom had black mould and just wasn’t clean, the bed wasn’t the most comfortable either all the cleaners did was replace the towels and make the bed but they never changed the sheets. We will definitely return to Alvor as it’s beautiful but will be staying far away from The Pelican.

Quiet, modern and exceptionally clean Internet in rooms could be better

Rooms are big and clean. Hallway is with tiles, you here a lot of noise from the reception in the evening. Also kids running through the hallway at night. One night a big group of young people came in late very late and made their room into a disco. They should try to avoid these kind of customers....

Good location close to Alvor town, clean apartments and lovely staff.

We only stayed one night here but our apartment was excellent the balcony made this apartment. We were sorry we only had one night booked here.
