Pestana Alvor Praia Beach & Golf Hotel

The wifi wasn't the best and the A/C took a while to cool the room down. Granted, we were in Alvor during a bad heat wave

All excellent but too Pricey Too pricey

The landscape is astonishing. Gardens really taken care of. The staff is the best I have seen.. Our room was very dirty and despite of asking for additional cleaning we did not get any. We found cockroaches in our room on 3 different days - and found lots of dirty parts in the room while trying to kill them. The hotel is well build but many parts requires refurbishing. The tênis courts are abandoned

Lovely hotel, elegant and friendly, beautiful location. Looks like they may be updating everything but beds could use some attention.

Breakfast options were good. Food was good. Nothing.

Beautiful location We loved everything

Beautiful resort right on the beach!! We did halfboard and the food is absolutely amazing! One of the best breakfasts we have ever had in Portugal! There is a lack of outlets in the bedrooms in case you need to work... in order to be able to charge laptops and phones it was a bit of a challenge. But not a big deal!

Absolutely excellent view, very comfortable room and wonderful breakfasts! We loved the location so close to the beach on the Atlantic Ocean. We also enjoyed the fantastic po and mini golf as well. The grounds are groomed beautifully. It was a hotel in a location that we will remember forever!!

Everything was beyond expectation, the staff were always smiling everyone that was working aknowledge you and make you feel welocomed. The room had beach view and the food was excellent.

Perfect beach location, attentive staff The food quality could be improved. Breakfast was ok, but could be better. The amenities, especially the bathroom, were old and did not meet our expectations of a five star hotel.

Location is amazing, lots of great facilities The mattress are old and lumpy - very uncomfortable, the cleaning does not happen to the standard I’m used to at an all inclusive or a high end hotel, we found glass shards on the floor of our hotel. I have a toddler so I was quite upset but no compensation was made. Their “king” size beds are two twin beds put together. It’s trash.

Location was great. Staff were friendly and kind. Beach access was highlight. Pool and amenities good to have. Our room was awful. We switched after the first smelled like a wet dog and had several stains on carpet but second was not much better. Hair stuck to stained night stands, cockroach in room, walls had dead bugs stuck to them, stained towels. Asked to move they offered apartment 2x price. Saw beach facing rooms and they all looked better but no where near 5 stars or price we paid. Breakfast food was edible with lots and lots of variety but lacked any flavor.

The location of the property is stunning. Overall was very good. The hotel is a little dated but in excellent condition.

The included breakfast was great and the location was amazing. I believe the beach in front of the hotel is the best beach in the area.

I stayed at the Hotel and overall, the experience was acceptable. The location is nice and the basic services are available, but there are some areas that need improvement. The beach requires more care and maintenance, and the cleanliness of the rooms could definitely be better. On a positive note, all the staff members were kind and helpful, which made the stay more pleasant except for the office manager “ pedro “ , who was not professional or cooperative at all. This left a negative impression on what could have been a much better experience. I hope the hotel takes these points into consideration to improve for future guests.
