Pestana Alvor Beach Villas

We had ~2h wait to check in. Dona Vania kindly offered us a voucher to compensate, but still it's too long of a wait. If you are planning to take your dog with you, it is a great space and they give a Pet kit which is very kind, but, be aware the daily Fee is very expensive: 30 euro/day (much higher than the usual 10 Eur/day we paid in other hotels in Portugal and Spain in the past)

Beautiful location and beach top Pick from our 3 week vacation through Spain. Husband and I are interested in moving to Alvor.

It was seconds away from the ocean. The view from our large balcony was beautiful. The staff so friendly and helpful.

Ocean view from 2nd floor outstanding. Great having a kitchenette to prepare small meals and have coffee on hand, since alot of places nearby are closed right now. It is a bit far removed from restaurants because it is winter here right now, a lot are closed.

So difficult to find where we actually had to check in

The location is perfect The flat was very nice too The hotel responded to all emails Checking in was difficult because it’s in a different hotel, and it’s not to obvious. The cleaning supervisor was rude and abrupt and lied that she doesn’t speak English when I saw her walking into my flat without hesitation. Why they hire Brazilians I really don’t understand. Portugese people are always so much friendlier and helpful.

Beautiful views, comfortable beds, amazing staff

Some facilities were outdated, the air conditioner in the living room didn't work. Washing machine tablets weren't provided even on request, so you'll have to go to a store (not near the hotel) to buy them.

It's very sad that the hotels charge a lot for pets. 30 euros per day. I was supposed to stay a week but only stayed 2 days, also de information about the prices were not accurate.

The F&B offer was very poor and expensive. breakfast was not worth the money and dinner very poor food offer. Everything is very expensive for Portuguese reality.

The room was spacious - sitting area, fully equipped kitchen, given a complimentary upgrade! Such a great location - right beside beach and boardwalk. Expensive nachos at the bar. Basically Doritos with little dollops of sauce.

We enjoyed the property so much that we extended our stay by one night. Although the same villa was not available, the staff made every effort to ensure our comfort while we waited for the new unit to be ready.

Despite the age of the property, the villas are incredibly well-maintained and completely modernized. We had every comfort imaginable inside our villa. We experienced the exterior charm, reminiscent of times long gone, whether it was a short walk to the grocery store located on the property or straight to the beach as the property has direct access. The staff (at all positions) were courteous and professional. We liked it so much, we extended our stay!

Once we got onto the property the desk staff was very helpful, accommodating and very courteous. They upgraded us and the accommodations were spacious, clean and we loved sitting on the balcony watching the ocean and beach. The town of Alvor was a short walk to restaurants, markets and any needs. A really relaxiing and laidback area. We loved it! It was a bit difficult to find the office because you couldn't see it from the road and we weren't sure how to get there. Once we walked in through all of the neighboring buildings we finally figured it out.

Location, Vila’s very spacious, good facilities for kids, food & service was good Needed refreshing example painting, broken pain of glass at bar stairs area. Gates with swipe card provided were open due to being broken, fence also broken so didn’t feel secure. Vila’s needed maintenance .. window, cooker rings not working etc.

The hotel villa was beautiful. Spacious and full of the types of things holiday goers need. The maids were fantastic, we had fresh towels daily and the rooms were kept immaculate. The pans - This villa was a self catering villa, the pans provided were not able to be used. The frying pans were not able to use used as frying pans - the quality of these were really shocking.
