Pestana Alvor South Beach, Premium Suite Hotel

Beautiful location Although the hotel is at the beach, the beach is managed by another company, so anything at the beach is NOT included. You have to pay a third party for beach chairs, umbrellas and towels. It should be disclosed by the hotel.

The property was beautiful! However the double bed was hard as a rock! I had to fold over the mattress cover t get some comfort. The next morning I complained and they put another mattress cover on bed that helped.

This is a Wonderful Property. 3 pools, Easy Beach Access and Quirky Rooms but in a Good Way. You can walk to town and the restaurants and shopping. Staff is accommodating and Cordial. The hotel is better than what I will write about what I did not. But if ownership is absentee someone has to tell them. Getting a second pool towel is like asking for a loan. The outside areas surrounding the pool needs to be up-kept much better and the daybeds should be cleaned much more frequently. Bird droppings all over. Not appealing at all. Time for lounge chairs to be replaced. I’d like to know who specked the decking material? Fire them! Food and Bar (get some top shelf offerings especially for Americans)needs new management and chef.

Amazingly small hotel that has a property larger than life right in the water. Great restaurant on premises for dining by the water. Staff was amazingly friendly. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The location was handy to town and the beautiful boardwalk and beach I liked everything , but I wished the pool was open earlier and later. I found the bed quite uncomfortable

Pool area is lovely! Staff are very helpfull and friendly Very clean, lovely location just off the boardwalk. Really nice walk into Alvor Town Bed was in the centre of the room and with the curtains open on the big window made an incredible sea view! Nice selection of items for breakfast Bathrooms need to be seperate! For me anyway! I don't understand the recent trend to make the bathroom and bedroom all one! Maybe to some peoples taste but this was my main issue. Matress was quite uncomfortable, there was a plastic feel to the matress protector which made noise every time we moved! Pillows were lovely though! Nice selection of items for breakfast, but if possible, could the hot items be changed up every other day maybe? Although, maybe I just needed to change up what I chose and there was plenty of selection! I wouldnt stay again, but thats only because of the open plan bathroom and uncomfortable mattress. If this is not an issue for you, then you will love your stay here!

Wonderful staff all seemingly happy in their work, nothing was too much trouble. Great position with the boardwalk to get to Alvor centre. The guys in the Sea deck restaurant were wonderful. A shout out for José who navigated me through the menu each night. I have a garlic allergy & his assistance was greatly appreciated. Wonderful food in the hotel, as well as the Sea deck. Housekeeping was excellent too. Many thanks to all. Very hard mattress & awful pillows & the open plan bathroom & bedroom.

The staff at the hotel were very welcoming and could not do enough for us. Our room came with a complimentary bottle of champagne which was a lovely touch. The breakfast was 10/10 and had variety of options and plenty of everything which was constantly being topped up. Could not fault the hotel with anything.

Hotel was adjacent to the Boardwalk directly in front of the shore which meant you could go for a lovely walk along the Boardwalk or go to the lovely village, cafes, restaurants and shops Nothing ! it was all good

Perfect location with fantastic facilities for all ages. Location is perfect, as it’s close to the village, boardwalk & beach.

Staff are fantastic

Excellent location , not high rise, choice of pool or beach . Very clean and well maintained. My only gripe was getting fresh cookies every evening in non recyclable packaging. A switch to paper would be more environmentally friendly

Location. Staff were fantastic. Beds not as comfortable as in some other hotels. Toilet paper was not great.

Breakfast variety great -refreshed all the time with helpful and friendly staff. Food good quality as much as you wanted. Pool area and beach good with swimming a bonus. The evening was very quiet with nothing going on.
