Overall look and feel of the property was nice and well presented. Breakfast was good. Access room was spacious. But I wouldn’t book it again. The access room we had smelt very very bad especially after a shower - assuming it was the drains. We complained on the first night but the hotel was fully booked so they couldn’t move us. On the second day they came to check the smell and tried to gaslight us into thinking it didn’t smell. They came after the cleaner had been in, so it wasn’t as bad. One of the staff members was very dismissive and didn’t even want to wait for us to run the shower so she could smell it. Was disappointed that they didn’t even try to give us a different room or weren’t apologetic. The other problem is you have to pay for parking - €7 per day, which isn’t worth it so we parked on the road side. The hotel was sold out but there were only 2 cars in the parking lot as everyone parked on the street. Seems like a waste of space. Lastly, AC could not be turned off and the noise was really annoying at night.

The location, the excellent cleanliness of the property The hotel advertises itself as a 4-star "Residences," but the infrastructure is completely unacceptable for families with kids. There is a notice in the room stating that hot water is limited to an individual 50-liter heater, meaning only one person can take a quick 5-minute shower before the water turns freezing cold. This critical restriction was never mentioned in the reservation listing, nor was it disclosed during check-in. Additionally, they offer absolutely no laundry services or facilities not even self-service machines completely contradicting the "Residences" branding. We were forced to abandon the hotel after the very first night to preserve our family's basic comfort.

The Wyndham was clean and the staff welcoming The room was spacious and comfortable, room service were great. Breakfast was varied, cold where had to be cold & hot where had to be hot and plenty of choice. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them. I would return and recommend to others. To keep the room on (at a cost) so that we had longer on the day of departure as we had an evening flight, but they did give us storage and use of the poolside showers.

Very nice facilities and the staff was excellent. We got to check in early at no cost

The staff weren’t very friendly. With the exception of 1 wonderful lady (wish I remembered her name) at the breakfast she worked on our last 3 days June 10,11, 12. Locations is pretty isolated

Very quiet hotel and really close to the beach. Also walking distance to town with beautiful restaurants and bars to suit everyone’s taste. Room was nice and spacious. Lovely pool. Staff are very good and food was really nice as was the cocktails. Will definitely be back.

It is close to the town of Alvo that you can walk to from the hotel N/A

Pros: The Location: Absolutely incredible. You are right on the beach, and it's just a short, lovely walk into Alvor town center for restaurants, bars, and the boardwalk. The Room: The residence setup is excellent. Very modern, clean, and spacious with a handy kitchenette. Having a balcony to enjoy the fresh sea air made the 3-night stay feel like a true vacation. Pool & Amenities: The pool area is beautiful and well-maintained, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Cons: Breakfast variety: While the breakfast was good, the selection was a bit repetitive over a 3-night stay. A few more hot options would have been great.

Very clean , and staff were lovely Coffee pod , situation in the room , I felt that they should be replenished as and when needed

The room was spacious and had everything I needed. I feel it was in an excellent value especially because the staff were professional and friendly. The entire property was clean and neat and the house cleaning staff did an excellent job. I will definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends. I did not care for the restaurant menu.

Location: We've known the area for a long time!! We really liked this location! Calm, beautiful, close to great restaurants! It inspires confidence and tranquility!! Parking is practical and easy! Room: Good size for a couple on a 4-day trip like ours!! I suggest improving the shower stall as it wets the whole bathroom, creating discomfort. The bathroom trash can is terrible! Ugly, old and not practical!!!! Very good bed!! The TV could be centered in that space!! The wall decoration left something to be desired!!! Beach: We liked it! Clean, healthy!! Peaceful.

Location is superb - only 2 mins walk to beach and 10 mins to restaurants, shops and bars. Gorgeous walks along beach on boardwalk in various directions- breathtaking. Breakfast was an extra €15 per head with a deal of €12 after 1st day if entire week booked. We were planning to eat out a bit more and not be time tied. Any breakfasts we saw out were same price as this with less choice (eg. scrambled egg and toast €10) so we ended up it hotel most mornings for a lovely breakfast. Pool was really quiet, maybe it’s time of year with golfers heading out so there was plenty of loungers etc. We were very nicely given a Seaview upgrade - amazing! Nothing

No washcloths in bathroom. Extra coffee pods in room had to be purchased. No free coffee in lobby.

They upgraded our room to an ocean view with a kitchen which was very nice. The bed was entirely too hard for us. They tried to make it softer but it didn’t help much. The staff was very helpful especially Ana! Parking was readily available. The hotel is close to the beach and restaurants. Did not purchase the breakfast as it didn’t appeal to us. They supply coffee pods for one day only. If you stay one night you get free coffee in your room. If you stay four days like we did, you have to pay for the pods. We found this very petty.
-
Location, nice and quiet / off season Had to pay for extra coffee pods and tea bags but they come and make your room up every day?? Cheaper to supply Coffee & Tea Bags & do room every second day.
-
Excellent all around service and value.

I have stayed a lot of hotels in the past and this was the best I have ever stayed in. The staff were incredible and provided service that was above and beyond expectations. It was sparkling clean with a very comfortable bed and so quiet. Just a stunning location and I to make this my annual retreat at the Wyndham Residences Alvor Beach.

Smelt amazing when you walk in. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Room was huge and cosy/comfortable. Free parking, even after I checked out. Very close to the beach. Shower wasn’t very powerful. Bit of a walk to where the action is (I don’t mind that) but something to consider if you’re travelling alone & walking back from the centre at night.
