Facilities. High quality buffet and drinks. Some details on the service and the low performance staff.

Breakfast had food in variety and with quality Tables to eat on the inside room to have breakfast where to near from one to the others

The wellness centre. The food and room quality

Great location, very convenient. The food wasn’t the best. Also I was told by the staff that I would get a reservation at one of the restaurants on the property for my birthday but they never arranged it. The bed was kind of hard.

The swimming pools and food courts / drinks were amazing. All the activities for children was also incredible. The rooms were a disaster. Our room had ants all over including bed & near wardrobe. With a small child it was a nightmare. First the staff didn't agree, after agreeing they shifted us for one night to another room and cleaned our room but that wasted a lot time. They didn't service the entire laundry (only agreed to provide kids laundry which got infested with ants) and we struggled the next 2 days.

Food was just average, pool areas with crammed sunbeds and way too many people…

The staff didn’t seem to be treated right and that reflected clearly on their treatments for the guests. With the exception of few nice staff members, rest were mostly dry. No one picks the phone. The food is horrible- the breakfast isn’t edible with no taste. The pancakes were sagging, the waffles clearly de frozen.. food mostly lacked salt, lacked taste.. with the exception of the burgers station, and the Italian restaurant - the food was not nice. For an all-exclusive experience, the facilities are very limited. The gym is a small corner room with very rude staff. If you are selecting this based on a Rixos experience - reduce your expectations drastically.

The ratio of pools and chairs to guest feel adequate. Children pool without a close by bathroom, and playground without a shade. The bars floor frequently ultra sticky from the beverages being spilled. At the restaurant, the variety and quality wasn't that great (comparing to similar 5* all inclusive hotels), most of the breakfasts didn't had orange juice. The parking location and route to there, didn't feel 5* at all...

The staff were amazing and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful and stress-free. A special mention goes to Elisabete, who we met at the breakfast restaurant for premium guests—she was absolutely fantastic. She provided helpful tips about the area, recommended places to visit, and made sure we were well looked after. Thanks to her, we felt informed about all the amenities and services available. The meals were good, the overall setup of the place was excellent, and the beach was just a short walk away. We also really enjoyed the entertainment—especially the magic show, the white party hosts, the dancers, and Rancho. These experiences added a fun and vibrant touch to our stay. Summary: A relaxing, fun-filled getaway with exceptional service and unforgettable entertainment. Not all the lights in the room were working, and although we requested someone to take a look, no one came. We had to rely on natural light by opening the curtains during the day. The complimentary water was provided inconsistently—sometimes every two days, other times every three. For a five-star resort, we would have expected daily replenishment, or at the very least, consistency. The same applied to the in-room coffee supplies, and notably, the milk capsules were never replenished during our stay. Additionally, I requested non-alcoholic beer as a substitute for the complimentary beer provided in the room. While the staff said they would look into it, it was never delivered. It wasn’t a major issue since I could easily get one outside, but after a long day out, it would’ve been nice to have the option available in the fridge. Just a small tip: offering non-alcoholic beer as an in-room option would be a thoughtful touch.

There was variety for breakfast but it was the same thing every day. There was plenty of fresh fruit. The staff was really great in all restaurants and bars. The pool area was great and there were plenty of sunbeds for those who got up early. There was also a nice kids pool that was less busy. The hotel has a private bridge and walkway to amazing beaches and restaurants. It takes about 10 mins. There is a train to the small town of Alvor. After 2/3 days it got a bit old eating the same breakfast everyday. A change of breakfast menu would have been great. Also at times the buffet food at dinner was cold. Not a lot of vegetables for the kids apart from zucchini. Unfortunately it was not so easy to get reservations at the 3 restaurants. Roastic restaurant was great. However the Italian restaurant had pizza and pasta that was average. At Mad med restaurant, the meat was very dry. All in all the food wasn't great as there was a lack of Portuguese dishes and seafood. It's a lot of hamburgers, hot dogs , pizza etc which is unfortunate. I had enough of pork and beef while there. We ended up eating some meals at local restaurants and the seafood was worth paying the extra cost. While the staff was super friendly , a little bit more service attention from guest relations, housekeeping and parking would make it feel more like a five star resort. The jacuzzi was not heated and the lady didn't believe me when I told her that it was very cold.

Everything was great. Clean and worth the price The buffet options at late night. Could use better spread
-
The hotel was a little bit crowded and sometimes there wasn't enough sunbeds available.

The villas were all set out lovely, and pools were great especially for little ones as we went to meet grandkids.... the all inclusive was good in the essenze buffet ( main restaurant) they had themed food nights and there was something for everyone... the other restaurants you had to book... as we were premium all inclusive we used the mad med restaurant for breakfast and we were served and could choose breakfast which they made to order so fresh omelette, scrambled eggs, etc The Italian restaurant was great first time we went but second time lasagne was cold( but bowl was red hot) we told staff straight away and they took it away.... ten minutes later another dish came back but was still the same ( cold) so we said we didn't want it and went to the essenze main buffet .

Staying at this hotel was simply extraordinary. Everything, without exception, reflects quality and attention to detail. The food is of the highest standard: every meal is a true delight, with a rich and varied selection that impresses with its thoughtful vegetarian options. The hotel is also a true haven for families. The facilities for those traveling with children are outstanding: spaces designed for both comfort and fun, with safe, welcoming environments full of thoughtful touches that make all the difference. The pools deserve special mention — there are several types to suit every preference and age group, from lively areas for play to quieter spaces perfect for pure relaxation. The rooms are flawless: spacious, modern, incredibly comfortable, and equipped with everything needed for truly restful days and peaceful nights. In short, this is a place where excellence, care, and beauty come together in every detail. A perfect choice for anyone seeking unforgettable days — whether with family, as a couple, or simply to recharge in a unique setting. Nothing

The staff was super friendly and the fact that they had activities and the food was always available. I had ants in my room

The rooms are ok and proximity to the beach and local town.. they also offer free transport to the town. They have a class system of which you learn about when you get there.... if you book using other websites you can't access some facilities and drinks.. you get basic treatment and almost looked down upon as lower class whereas if the option is there to choose what you want on other websites it would be ok. As for it being labelled 5 star... if you've travelled you'll definitely have a different opinion... at best 4 star in my opinion. Basically it's not what I expected in Algarve 5 star all inclusive hotel... where all inclusive is subject to where you booked your holiday. Direct bookings from hotel are all inclusive and anywhere else you're treated as second class.
