Great location
-
Location and we had a view of the canal No air conditioning! And it seems that a crowd of young people hang out on the streets at night screaming and shouting till all hours of the night -no sleep
-
Location of hotel. Staff completely fouled up the reservations and it took a very long time for him to straighten it out. As a result one of our group ended up with a room so small, it was virtually a closet with a bathroom! Terrible!

Location was exceptional. Staff was helpful and engaged. Breakfast was a rip off. Don't buy it - head out to a cafe and get better quality, more flavor and a fraction of the cost.

The location and it’s a very nice older building.

Well located. The bed was very comfortable. Recently remodeled, and though the room was small, it was thoughtfully designed. It's in an old building, but there was a lot of noise. Also, the fan was broken in my room, and it was too loud to keep the window open. Also, the door was night light-proof, the hallway light shined directly into the room. I reserved a canal view, and was not given it.

We liked the breakfast. Nice croissant, helpful and nice staff preparing the breakfast. The canal view is nice. Also location is nice. We had a problem with the smell in the room. However, it was solved out with a machine after we called the staff. We had a problem with the smell in the room. However, it was solved out with a machine after we called the staff. The curtains in the room with 101 were torn. We were two people and the staff gave only 1 card for the room entrance even though we wanted to two cards. In the end of breakfast, we witnessed a discussion with a foreign couple coming before check-in time. They started to have a breakfast. The staff warned them in a rude way-shouting at them. The language is a barrier to be understood. The staff might be more polite for these people.

The non-room guest services, breakfast area, customer lounge and baggage hold were all great. I was given incorrect information about tte breakfast buffet.

Overall, it's a lovely hotel that offers good value for money. The location is excellent—far enough from the center to avoid the noise, but close enough to easily reach all the main attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful. While it is an older building, it is very well-maintained. In almost any other city, the price might feel a bit high for what you get, but given Amsterdam's price, it is quite reasonable. My only complaint was that the in-room coffee maker didn't work, which was a bit disappointing in the morning.

We loved the location. It was quiet, convenient, and surrounded by canals. The front desk staff, especially Denise, were very pleasant and helpful. The location was amazing. It was near everything we needed but far away enough from the really busy, less desirable areas.
-
Great location. Very comfortable and clean. Great breakfast. Helpful staff. Stairs were tough, but there is an elevator.
-
the location was amazing. The staff was great, i could not ask for more. the stairs are a bit of a challenge.
-
The reception staff both evening and day were brilliant. It felt safe as the entry doors were locked and only opened by key or the staff. Hotel Nes is presented beautifully whilst retaining character. The canal view was lovely. We enjoyed the morning breakfast and they catered for a gluten allergy I would use this hotel again if staying in Amsterdam and the only negative was leaving it behind and moving to a best Weston In another town which is much worse

Small rooms
-
Outstanding location that is in the city but on the edge, so it’s easy to drive in and out

I tried to update my stay to include my colleague and extend another day. They referred me back to booking.com which did not work. They refused to deal with me directly, I therefore had to book another hotel and lose my deposit. All very inflexible.
-
Location, location, location! Also, the view from our room was of the dancing houses! Stairs and no help to bring luggage up three flights of steep, spiral stairs.
-
transportation from the airport to the hotel included.... very nice... however it was very confusing to meet the driver upon landing in AMS
-
Location excellent. Staff also excellent. Room was perfect. Fantastic view! Nothing at all.
