Just location The room we were allotted was after 40 stairs and not in the building showing in picture. It was not properly maintained.

So lovely. Beautiful location. Lovely and clean.

Location was very good, quite place but not far from main attractions. Balcony view over the canal was simply amazing. Bed so comfy and clean. Staff very friendly and supportive Everything was tiny, including the room, bathroom, lift and certainly the stair...however, it is a well known configuration within amsterdam centre

It’s very close to the city centre, and the view from our room was beautiful; we could see the canals and it wasn’t too busy and bustling in our area. The staff was extremely nice & helpful. The bathroom was a bit dirty, especially the shower curtain. But it’s not like I’d touch that anyways, so it didn’t bother me.

I love the view. No electricity outlet next to my bed. The outlets were broken. Also much noise from the street some nights at 4 in the morning.

I like the location a lot.

It’s nice, good location. But disgusting decor and paint job. It was a bit tacky inside.

Location was great! The host was exceptionally nice and did everything we asked! The rooms were small and baths were old. But it is an older hotel so it was ok :)

Good value for money and excellent staff

Authentic old style hotel in the heart of the city with wonderful views over the canals and close to everything we needed.

It was okay The room was really dirty only the bedsheets were clean but there was a lot of dust around the bedside table and the bathroom had cobwebs. I was not too pleased about the room. I wanted to use the wardrobe and it almost fell.

The staff wasn’t the most friendly. One guy was much nicer than the other

Pretty hotel building. Plenty of choice in area for restaurants and bars. Close to all amenities. Close to public transport. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Lovely staff. Has a lift. Stored our luggage so that we could make the most of our last day. Excellent all around. We would book again. Some noise from the bar across the canal during the world cup. Not the hotels fault and unlikely to happen often

The location was excellent. We could walk everywhere easily. Our room had a canal view and while it was compact (as to be expected in Amsterdam) it was comfortable enough for a several day stay. The host was welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was good with excellent coffee. The bathroom is in need of an update. Small is not an issue but shower cubicle and toilet could do with a refresh.
