Great location lovely hotel Staff were unhelpful and nowhere to be seen most of the time do not answer reception phone and couldn’t find them during the day - bag of other people’s rubbish was left in my bathroom also - located next to one of the biggest night clubs in Amsterdam and you can hear it

Great location, rooms were really comfortable. Walking distance to most things, otherwise trams are nearby You could hear every creak of people walking in rooms above us

Location. 1. Hotel is in front of a after hours club. 11pm to 4am. Every night for week which makes it difficult to sleep 2. Staff ensured us someone would be at front desk 24 hrs but wasn't between 10 pm and 1am when we nee:ded him 3. Had to leave early 7:45am and couldn't because they would not start the coffee machine till 8am. 4. Can't believe the good reviews of this hotel. Might be just a bad couple of nights

Hotel Oscar was a good choice for us as its central to most activities and sights. Our twin room was fresh and clean. As well, there is a lovely lounge area with coffee and tea facilities. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Because of their history and age we understand that most hotel rooms in Amsterdam are fairly small. It is to be expected so it wasn't a problem.

Nothing, it was so disgusting This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had, and I would not recommend Hotel Oscar to anyone. The photos on Booking.com are extremely misleading and do not accurately reflect the condition of the rooms. What I arrived to was nowhere near what I expected based on the listing. The behaviour of some staff members left me feeling discriminated against and unwelcome. As a paying guest, I expected to be treated with respect and professionalism, but that was not my experience. The Wi-Fi was unreliable and frequently unusable, making it difficult to stay connected throughout my stay. The building itself has virtually no sound insulation. Every bit of street noise comes straight into the room, making it almost impossible to get a decent night’s sleep. On top of that, the timber floors creak constantly, so you hear every footstep from other guests throughout the night. The most shocking part of my stay was seeing rats running down the hallway. This was completely unacceptable and raised serious concerns about the hotel’s cleanliness and hygiene standards. I also had concerns about the safety and privacy of my belongings. I did not feel comfortable leaving my luggage in the room, which is not something any guest should ever have to worry about. Overall, this hotel was a huge disappointment and exceptionally poor value for money. Between the misleading advertising, poor customer service, unreliable Wi-Fi, excessive noise, apparent hygiene issues, and concerns about security, I would strongly recommend staying somewhere else. Amsterdam has many hotels that offer a far better experience for a similar price. I would never stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel.

Location is perfect and free coffee, tea and water in the lobby Very small room with narrow beds, heavy doors to open and steps in the room in the corridor and to the bathroom.
-
Great air conditioning Small bed if we have to say we didn't like something. But everything was fine.
-
Location was amazing, staff perfectly friendly. Room was fine. Requested twin beds - They were right next to each other (like a double bed, but with separate sheets, which was a little weird). Floor could have been cleaner, and a bit of a small room. Everything fine enough.
