Location, comfortable room, clean Not applicable

Good location that is close to tram stop / a walk away from the main city area and a very short walk from the Albert Cuyp Market. I stayed in room 1 and it smelled extremely bad. It reeked of a scent similar to body odor. It was unbearable, but at least it encouraged me to be out and about most of the day. Upon arrival, the window was already propped open and air fresheners were plugged in what I assume was an attempt to mask the scent which shows that they know it's an issue. However, nothing could hide that overwhelming stench. The walls and curtains looked dirty which probably contributed to the scent. The bathroom was small which wasn't a huge issue for me as a solo traveler, but the shower had a draining issue which caused it to flood over the shower area into the toilet area. The shower head was also calcified green which I think is common with the hard water, but it was still off putting. Also be aware that there isn't a traditional lobby with someone to check you in. It's stated in the description, but just be aware as it's not as convenient. Stairs are steep but that's expected. There's not really space to open your luggage and have it out as the room is so small so also be conscious of that if you will be staying longer than a few days.

The staff attitude and lack of cooperation

Location was perfect, close to the train, one of the best grocery store right next door, walking distance to everything. We didn’t take busses during our stay. My room had a balcony and we kept the door open to get fresh air, the are was super safe and clean. We got towels changed everyday. The steep stairs, but the amazing staff helped us carry bags upstairs, we got super lucky. In general Amsterdam style with steep stairs.

The staff is exceptional, and the room was adorable, comfy, and perfect for a couple. There is easy access to public transportation and walking distance to the best of Amersterdam. The bathroom is small, but that is to be expected in Europe, so we had no issues with it. Just more for letting others know, because it's annoying when I see people complain about bathroom size when in Europe.

We had a balcony in our room which was really nice and coffee and tea topped up everyday along with cleaning.

Location was great. Easy walk to a lot of things to do. The room smelled very musty, the window was open when we arrived but once we closed it because of the cold the odor was hard to ignore.
