After many years of travelling, you learn that luxury is not only about beautiful interiors—it’s about a hotel that consistently gets the basics right. NH Caransa did exactly that. From the moment we arrived, every member of staff was warm, efficient and genuinely welcoming. Service was professional without ever feeling formal, and nothing seemed too much trouble. Our room was immaculately clean, comfortable and very well maintained. Housekeeping was excellent throughout our stay, and everything worked exactly as it should. The location is difficult to beat. Being right on Rembrandtplein meant we could walk almost everywhere while still enjoying excellent public transport connections when we needed them. What impressed me most was that the hotel delivered on every promise. No unpleasant surprises, no corners cut—just a consistently comfortable and well-managed experience. We left feeling that we had made the right choice, and we would not hesitate to stay here again on our next visit to Amsterdam. A well-deserved 10/10.

The location was terrible somehow we were above all the loudest bars we were hearing shoutings till 6am.

The location is unmatched. The best place you can stay in Amstetdam. Close to all the shops, restaurants, cafes. There’s a tram right in front of you that goes to the station directly. The rooms are very big and comfortable, staff is extremely friendly and helpful. You have everything you need in this hotel. There was nothing I didn’t like about this hotel.

Rooms were clean. Location was good as well. Hallways were dirty. Stains on the carpets.

Manuel was fabulous with reservations and suggestions!

Well maintained (except for window), central location, room size is good, and clean. Window did not totally shut, heater in room mitigated window. Loud from outside can be heard clearly, hotel provided ear plugs mitigated this - the flaws were proactively addressed instead of forcing guests to complain or look for a solution - thank you!

My stay at this hotel began with a serious breach of privacy and safety. Shortly after check-in, while I was topless and preparing to take a shower in my own room, two men suddenly entered without consent. They were not dressed in a way that clearly identified them as hotel staff, and they did not properly announce themselves. In that moment, I had no way of knowing who they were. It was shocking and deeply distressing. What made the situation even worse was the initial response at reception. When I first reported the incident, a short blonde receptionist openly accused me, in front of my husband and our friend, insisting that they must have knocked and that she was sure of it. Whether they knocked or not is secondary; they entered my room without my permission. I had just checked in. I was undressed and about to shower. LUCKILY I was right behind the door taking off my shampoos, I rushed to pushed door back. If I had already been in the shower, would I somehow have been considered at fault simply for being inside my own room? Well their explanation is; I was checked in at 3:08pm and the “tech guys” tried to come in at 3:18 pm without knowing the room was checked in. That’s not my problem at all. Although management later offered free breakfast and drinks as compensation after few emails back and forward, this does not diminish the seriousness of what happened. And you clearly ruined my whole day, I was just sitting at a coffee shop typing emails and trying to find where to email. At the end, I chose not to change hotels only because I had already stayed for couple days and did not want to further disrupt and ruin my trip. Staying was a practical decision, not a reflection of satisfaction. Safety, privacy, and respectful treatment of guests are the absolute minimum standards in hospitality. This experience was unacceptable.

Location, staff Room was cold, air conditioning not enough

Comfortable room with excellent view over Rembrandt Square. Unfortunately, the hotel was being refurbished ( which we were not informed about prior to our visit). We had to go across the road to a sister hotel for our breakfast. The quality of the breakfast there was good. See above. Should have been notified before

The lights turned on and location was good. The space was tight tight. For the price it is unreasonable that the room was not cleaned everyday( if we wanted it cleaned) without incurring additional cost, as well as replacement towels. The value for the price was terrible. Beds were not comfortable.

It’s location. Only one elevator and repeated breakfast all three days same. Rooms smaller than expectations. Noisy whole night due to night club close by.
-
The location, the room and bathroom Close to Starbucks, Albert supermarket and burger joints Our heating system was broken and we were freezing in a room also no pot to make a tea or coffee

Great location in Amsterdam, easy to walk anywhere and also a tram stop right in front of the hotel to take you, for example, the main train station. Good size rooms and bathroom. Nice view. There could have been more light in the room.

Location is great stuff is So helpful, cooperative, and kind They have to review the value because it’s a little bit expensive

The room location was so noisy in the first 2 days

The location is top notch, but an Uber or taxi can only drop you off/pick you up at the corner of Rembrandtplein and Utrechtsestraat, about a 45 second walk. The hotel rooms are very comfortable, although they are a bit Spartan and are in need of (minor refurbishments, i.e. paint chips, wrinkled wall paper, etc.) The showers have an enormous amount of water pressure, but the shower door only covers about half of the open space. Inevitably, using the shower wand will result in a minor flood in the bathroom floor, if you're not careful. The staff was friendly.

Location is as good as it gets right on Rembrandtplein. So it is so well connected to every part of Amsterdam, and beyond. Spacious rooms, also
