nothing, a human being shouldn’t stay there, you can’t even breathe the host

The staff and organisation is good. The room is so hot, even without a blanket and the tiny window wide open I was unable to stop sweating and sleep. Also I thought I could cool down with a cold shower and unfortunately the showers were boiling hot and did not go cold and then I couldn’t even shower because the water was so hot that it burns.

Nothing Could not check in as staff went home and then they had an alternative way of checking that did not work and the staff told us next day that they placed keys which was not true and tried to gaslight us. When that failed he told us I am not losing anything u are. Rooms were a sauna.

By nature of being a boat vs a building, it was easy to hear people walking about, opening/shutting door; but this should be expected on a canal boat.

The property was good, and I enjoyed my stay. However, I had an issue with the city tax, which I ended up paying twice. The host asked me to pay the city tax upon arrival, but this amount was already included in the total amount paid through Booking.com. Another guest and I checked this and realized it might be a scam, so we both asked for our money back. The other guest received their refund quickly, while I only got mine back today through Booking.com. The host did not respond to my messages or clarify why I was required to pay this amount again at check-in. The real concern is that many guests may have paid this extra amount without realizing they had already paid it online, and perhaps guests are still being charged twice. Please look into this issue, and I hope Booking.com takes serious action regarding this behavior.

The location was good. This was really the only redeeming quality. And staying on a boat was a cool idea. We walked in to an incredibly bad smell. It was stinking of sewage, all throughout the corridor and even outside the houseboat. The toilets seemed to smell okay, but maybe only because the chlorine was overpowering the smell?! The room itself was fine, but you have to open the door to the corridor once in a while. The owners were never there in the evening and morning, so there was no way for address this with them. Then, they told us we owed them 33 euros in municipal taxes, when the Amsterdam hotel tax, newly raised to 12.5%, would have been 13. They asked for cash only, and did the same with our neighbors. I will not stay there again, and would not recommend it.

The rooms are small, but very very clean. The location is also great -- it's a short walk We had to check out at 5am to catch our train. The staff left us food so we could have breakfast. It was really sweet :)

Firstly I adjusted my all travel details , after long hours travelling in the city hoping to rest at the hotel. When I get there , they simply said that they can’t offer acommadation although I booked. They didn’t offer any help except asking me to want help from Booking.

The location was awesome and the property was so unique! The breakfast was also adequate. The room door was very difficult to open or close all the way and the room in general was super small.

Absolutely nothing! We left after one night. Noisy, Cramped, Stink. Hard to navigate the stairs.

Hotelboat is a great choice right in the city center, just a 15-minute walk from the main train station. It’s surrounded by leisure areas, shops, and the city’s main tourist attractions, all within walking distance. The hotel is very comfortable, cozy, and spotlessly clean. The breakfast is excellent: varied, fresh, and delicious. I would definitely stay here again. Special mention to Agustin and Facundo were always incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful ?. Without a doubt, a 10/10 place. The location and the staffs

Many nice options for breakfast, nice dinning area. Really cool experience, just like staying at any other hotel except on a boat and friendlier. Presented the same in photos as in person.

Staff were amazing. Definitely a unique stay in Amsterdam. Good breakfast as well. May be uncomfortable if you are tall, but worth the experience.
-
You can hear everything both in the hallways and adjacent rooms. Didn't bother me, but may have for our neighbours.
-
Staff super kind and helpful. Good location. The accommodation could be better equipped and better cleaned.
-
Cool location, beautiful main cabin/dining room. Fantastic breakfast! Nice that they let us leave our bags before check in. Bedding was minimal -a warmer/larger blanket and a second pillow would have been better.

The host;)

The rooms are downstairs and when people walk upstairs, you hear every step. The top layer of their bunk bed is just too small. The beddings were dirty and the room had an unpleasant smell hanging in the air. The room wasn‘t cold but wasn‘t warm enough and they were not available to explain how to turn on the heat. Not recommendation worthy!

The Host Augustine, was so friendly upon arrival. We were early for our check in and he let us leave our luggage there. The boat was spotless and the breakfast was delicious. I would not hesitate to recommend this experience. Cathy and Heather
