NH Ancona

For the price I paid, the room was comfortable enough — what you would expect in a 4-star hotel outside a major tourist hub. The view was also nice, and so were the receptionists. For those who have cars, this place has parking space. It's also near enough to walk to the train station. The lobby and common areas are also very nice and relaxing. The trade-off in having a nice view is that you need to walk up a small hill to get to the hotel. If you have luggage and don't have your own vehicle, it would be impossible—you need to take a taxi. Also, as in any port city, you need to be extra careful going back to the hotel at night (you would have to pass a dark alleyway to get back from the city centre). The breakfast was so-so and didn't seem extra special, so I just asked the desk for a coffee and pastry since the hotel was a bit isolated (which cost double what going to a nearby coffee shop would have). That said, a kettle in the room and some coffee or tea would have been appreciated.

Lobby was comforable. Breakfast: Hard boiled aggs were not fresh. Minimal fresh fruit. Coffee cold from coffee machine, althoug staff person offered to make fresh.

Comfortable and pleasant

Very nice hotel Restaurant staff: we booked dinner at 8:00PM Once seated the waiter told us that there was a big table ahead of us and it would be at least 1 hour before we would get served. That is ridiculous

Access to the Hotel is up a steep driveway. The restaurant was closed when we stayed except for breakfast.

We had a fantastic stay at NH Ancona for my birthday weekend! From the moment we arrived, we received a super warm welcome from the lovely and attentive staff. There’s even a welcome corner with water and sweets, which was such a nice touch. Our room was very spacious with a comfortable bed and had everything we needed—kettle, bathrobes, toothbrushes, and all the amenities were eco-friendly, which we really appreciated. The location is also great, just a short walk to the city centre and with a beautiful view of the cathedrals. Highly recommend staying here—would definitely come back!

Extremely comfortable bed. Room with a nice view of the port.

The staff was very friendly. The room they gave me smelled of cigarettes and I asked to change the room, they changed it without hesitation. The walls of the rooms are dirty. Old building, only the hall is renovated but the rooms are very old style. I wouldn’t expect that for a four star hotel.

Maria at the desk was really terrific. She has a wonderful friendly, helpful smile.

The staff were very nice, all of them, from reception, housekeeping, and breakfast. The room was a good size, the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was ok. I liked that they had their own parking.
