Quality Inn & Suites Ankeny - Des Moines

The overall property was pretty clean. I had to change rooms because the one originally assigned smelled like smoke even though it’s a non smoking facility. Then a light was flickering all night.

The room was very clean. Breakfast was good. Lots of choices between hot and cold Breakfast. Breakfast area was clean. The workout facilities were great and very useful.

Close to interstate The hot breakfast was not what I had expected. Less than desirable. Mini-biscuits/gravy + tater tots. Oh boy. Where’s the eggs? Everyone has eggs. Stayed 2 nights and breakfast was the same each morning.

Dirty, not kept well. Breakfast options are not good. I would stay elsewhere next time.

Clean, quiet, friendly staff. Coffee makers are dirty so it makes the coffee taste awful. The breakfast was cold, again, the coffee was terrible. Clean the coffee makers.

Great staff, clean rooms, like location. I have used this hotel several times for trips to Ames (Iowa State). No issues.

The ceiling and walls had water damage and was coming down. The pool was out of commission most of the time. The whole place was infested with ants. woke up with ants in the bed.

The staff were so accommodating and helpful. Hot breakfast and laundry facility. Close to food places and convenience stores within walking distance. Definitely will use this place again.

Room set up and ease of taking bikes to first floor room Kind of getting in and out onto Main Street during high traffic time of day. Did not care for the coffee.

Nice hotel but it was overpriced because it was getting full and they increased the room rates. Price increased because of the foot traffic in the area.
