Super 8 by Wyndham Ankeny/Des Moines Area

The breakfast was amazing. The room was nice. Don’t bring too much luggage just there’s no elevator only stairs. It’s a good place to stay for a night or two but nothing you’re gonna stay for a while. Rooms are clean. The amenities were kind of sad they made mine and my boyfriend’s hair, itchy, and greasy, so my suggestion would be to bring your own shampoo and conditioner. The showers were really nice water, pressure and heat. The staff was usually never at the desk, but it wasn’t too hard to get a hold of them.

Do not stay here. Find another place. This is a bed bug roach motel. Terrible.

me and my friend drove a verrryytyyy long time to stay in iowa and this motel was actually very nice. i’ll be honest i had low expectations but it def raised the bar for me. the staff were sooooo nice and sooooo helpful. our room was very clean and cozy. the tv had netflix and prime which was nice to log into and watch our shows. breakfast was super good and they were constantly bringing fresh hot food out. my only complaint was that the vending machine exclusively took cash. no tap to pay there. but that’s such a non issue. i will definitely consider this motel again for our next trip out here

It was very clean and staff friendly

The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. I have no complaints. It is a budget hotel and was very nice as such. Breakfast was nothing special, but , again, it is a budget hotel. So, I wasn't expecting a Ritz Carlton breakfast.

Our microwave didnt work no remote for tv small tvs and its hard for hdmi hookups

having a person interested in making your stay enjoyable. Example is, being asked what floor or area you would like. Decent parking, decent breakfast. Feel it's worth the overnight for the price.

Don’t advertise queen sized bed when they are not - pretty duplicitous.

The owner was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was adequate and area was clean. We stayed one night and did not have time for using amenities. Everyone raved about the Mexican restaurant next door.

The pool was nice, the breakfast was great. Hotel staff was so nice and helpful. The restaurant across was to die for. Will stay here again.

Bad

I never write these but this hotel was great. First off, it smelled so good in the lobby and our room. The women that check us in was so friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean, like all of it. I feel like bathtubs get overlooked in a lot of place but not here. The breakfast was good too, nothing fancy but hot & cold options which was good. I'd definitely stay here again.
